Ok I did it. I watched the whole thing.

It’s about 10% shoplifting and 90% drama. It’s good drama, but still. They do NOT follow the lifters’ code, or show any tips besides made up movie tips. Stuff like ~cleverly distracting the cashier~ and just putting the thing in your pocket. It’s actually pretty great, but it will not meet your expectations as a “shoplifting show”.

would i recommend actually concealing this many items in this way ? absolutely not. my intention here is to demonstrate just how many places there are on body to conceal (this doesn’t even include all of them!) and how compact & natural you can make it look.

we’re not high tech anymore

a year or two ago when the lifting community was small and new, things like magnets and hooks were some high tech shoplifting tools. now girls who have never even been on liftblr buy magnets online and use them—i guess word just spread around. now i’ve heard staff talk about things like magnets and seen signs by fitting rooms about detagging when i’m out shopping. i feel like our tactics are worn out and our days are coming to a close :(
