First year of grad school officially finished! Thesis proposed and summer internships mostly sorted...

In other news about things I'm peeved about, nature centers thinking their above citations because they're "experts."

Slightly peeved that the articles about HPV and throat cancer are using headlines that just say that oral sex is the leading cause of throat cancer... Looks like it's not incredibly new statistic, but it came up on Seth Meyers (Jokes Seth Can't Tell) recently without explaining how the hell cunnilingus caused throat cancer so I had to go look it up. Arguably I'm being overly critical, just feels like the takeaway when you write that kind of headline is "don't go down on a woman" instead of idk "get vaccinated against HPV"

In the cyclical nature of my life, I've moved from the two weeks of "everything is under control" phase where my hair looks good, the apartment is clean, and I'm shockingly ahead on my work to the "let's procrastinate myself into a deadline corner full of personal and professional-life nightmares" phase so I can finish everything at the last minute powered solely by self loathing. Excellent.
