ZombieS, GunS, LARPing, GameS, and RoleplayinG

Me spearing people during PennsiC... 

so this weekend, i decided to play a new larp in new jersey called faeglen, i played its Beta a few months ago, and enjoyed it, and they started the kick off game this past weekend. Due to money, i decided to NPC full time, and so i was a bad guy =) i don't generally enjoy RP rolls as npc's, because i feel like i'm never giving anof info, and soon a PC asks me some question, and i don't know the answer, and if i answer wrong, ill ruin the game forever. now i know thats not actually going to happen, but still.. this is how i feel.. i also enjoy fighting, and so i rather for the most part play combat monsters or thugs or something the pc's have to punch in the face. i played a Cultist of Pestilence, a Food service person, a Hyena, and a Dire wolf... The Dire wolf was awesome, and fun to play. 

It rained the whole time, which made a lot of people sad, and i understand that, but the rain generally does not bother me, and i pretty much trucked thru the whole day going out and out and out and fighting the good fight. 

All and all, i had a good time, and this was a good NPC experience, as i have had bad, terrible, almost threw a mother fucker thru the wall NPC experiences. come to think of it, a few larpers are lucky they are still actually alive, as sometimes i want to smash there heads in! but atlas, apparently that is looked down on in the larping community.. people will be total dicks to you, disrespect the fuck out of you, and talk down to you.. but all of the sudden when u want to talk to them in the parking lot, and by talking, using your fists to smash their face in, they get all defensive and cry like fucking sissies.... (this is for of course people who suck OOG)  

Yo, i just want you to know that i think your really nice, but your character is a bitch.... 

Why is it, that most LARPS restrict weapons by class, with little or no ability to use or learn a weapon unless they multi-class into a class that can use that weapon. 

If i want to be a damn Wizard who uses a 2 handed sword, why cant i be!!!! 

I believe it makes sense that certain class's will be better with certain weapons, of course, but why restrict a class to only certain weapons, its just another way to make players more alike and less originality. Balance is not a issue, as a wizard with a two handed sword probably will not have any class ability to enhance the damage of the sword, hence making it more flavor then anything else.

Sorry, just frustrated, a Game im checking out only has one class that can use a Bow, and its a Ranger, which makes sense, but why cant a Warrior, or a rogue use a bow. It just frustrates me when LARPs fall this category!
