They all gladly curl up next to him, but only whimper and shake their heads when asked that had happened. “Scary….” Kara mewled before hiding his face against the elders chest yet again.

“M-mama…” its Choro that sniffles, pretty much death-gripping the adults shirt sleeve. The other’s aren’t faring much better, all trying to hold onto him in their own ways.

They don’t answer, just cling to him with loud whines and mewls. Seems they were thoroughly terrified of whatever had just happened to them.

The smiles were beginning to fade from the children’s faces as they began to realize that this story wasn’t a happy one like they expected it to be. Their ears pressed against their heads, frowns on their faces.

When he mentioned the girl falling all of them stopped, as if getting where this was going. Though they all were remaining very optimistic.

“…she was cut right in half by an oncoming train, and died a while after.” Ichimatsu finished, his voice somber. “Rumors say that her ghost appears to random people. She can still move… her clawlike fingers making teke teke sounds as she lifts herself up and crawls… 

They either didn’t get the malice behind the grin, or were used to it by now. The six of them all blinked when he began to speak. Of course they had no idea if it was real or not.

“Nu-uh.” Oso answered for the group, the others shaking their heads.

“There once was a young school girl who was always bullied by her classmates. She was incredibly shy and well mannered… but one day, a classmate of hers took things too far.” 

The six of them perk up, oblivious to his intentions. Their Mama had left them alone with their Papa to get them ready for bed. All of the kittens eagerly bounded over, sitting in front of him expectantly.

Ichimatsu flashed them a rather sinister grin and cleared his throat. He was going to tell them a story, alright. A horrifying one, a Japanese legend. A myth. Nothing real, but.. they didn’t know that.

The other five perked up when they were pulled onto the adults lap, happily curls against him, Choro shoving a bit to get closer. He tended to be the most clingy. They seemed happy to see him at least.

Almost as if by cue there is the sound of loud mewling. He is joined a moment later by all six of the kittens. Oso is quick to jump onto his lap and to pat his tiny hands against the adult’s cheeks, the others trying to get closer as well for their own attention.
