Its not my normal preference, but its kinda adorable tbh. And the jingle is well funny. Lol

Ive been looking for years for a potential pincurl permenant technique. And since I exclusively pincurl these days, Im more than excited to try this!

I have tried this and am really impressed with how easy, comfortable and gorgeous these are. I've even experimented with cloth width and amount of wraps. Im just frustrated that they arent modern and/or pinup in any way, coz I'd do these everyday if I could.

Authentic Rag Rolls, I have tested them and OMG so good! Also if you brush them out, you can get some sweet Bellatrix Lestrange/ 80s perm hair without heat.

Pour 1 cup of warm water into a large measuring cup. Peel open a package of unflavored gelatin and add 1 teaspoon to the warm water. Stir the warm water and unflavored gelatin to combine, using a whisk. Add a few drops of your favorite essential oil to the setting lotion.

So I’ve been wet-setting my hair (aka over night with sponge rollers, mesh rollers or vintage pincurls) for years now, coz I dont like the damage that heat would give my hair if I use it regularly. (I still use a curling wand or hot rollers in a pinch, but only once every blue moon.) In the past I’ve used imported setting lotions like Lotta Body by Revlon, or I’ve used obscure brands that smell terrible, or even tried using Gel or Mousse to get longevity from my curl set. I’ve been looking around for a readily availible alternative that fits my budget and isnt damaging to my hair, and I’ve found a vintage (30s/40s) recipe that calls for the strained water of just boiled flaxseeds. It sounds very norishing. I’m a little excited, actually! I’m gonna give it a go tonight, and see how I go. Wish me luck!
