Oh, and since I have your attention: z-library (books and textbooks) and sci-hub (gatekept scientific journal articles.) I just ripped a textbook for class off z-library and snatched a required reading from sci-hub. Life is good and education should be accessible at every stage and station of life.

So, I have used Google docs to write my stories for a while.
The new update to Google docs makes a limit on how much you can have saved to it, and I donāt feel safe keeping my stories there anymore.
So, please reccomend things similar that wonāt do dumb shit for capitalism
What I liked in Google Docs: infinite storage, dark mode (optional but nice), automatic backup, offline and online writing, ability to save writing to cloud so if I lose my device I wonāt lose my work, and ease of use.
Iām on an old iPhone, itās a bit small and doesnāt have much storage space, so I would prefer a small app, but bigger ones are fine. Iām on iOS.

The different books I want to eventually write:
-A fantasy dystopia found family story where they takeover the government
-A different fantasy dystopia found family story where they run away from and eventually take over the government
-A fantasy story where heroes fight villains and the government is actually good and on their side
-A stardew valley fanfiction with a shit ton of head canons where they eventually call out the corrupted government
And a shit ton of unfinished fanfics, at least one of them being another fantasy hero story and another one being people fixing corrupt governments

I've had to do so much to keep her alive, and I'm really running low on sleep because I worry that if I go to sleep I'll lose her.

Not everyone gets that privilege.
No one is born with opinions, and your ideals will most likely be dictated by what your parents and the people around you think, at least until youāre old enough to make up your own mind. When that happens, you might get lucky and find that you agree with everything youāve been taught, or you might have to reject it. The latter is a process that should never be taken for granted. It is hard and it involves questioning your entire worldview.
Iāve been active in political circles for years, and so many of our members come from conservative upbringings. I respect each and every one of them, and the views they used to hold only make them more valuable allies, because I know they have had to work to change as people.
If we started to reject people ā especially young people ā based on their past beliefs, we would barely get to keep any members at all. People are allowed to grow and change.ā

I grew up in a very conservative place, and I didnāt even learn about the lgtbq+ community until I heard about them in church.
Probably everyone here knows that doesnāt ever end well.
I was a bit weirded out by the community, and at that point Iām very grateful that I didnāt have the technology to spread that, until I smacked a girl in the face with bongos and we became friends (thatās a story for another day) and she ended up being bi.
To this day, I still cringe at some of the things I was brought up to believe. But I also look back and think about what I can do to help kids not gain these biases in the first place.
People learn and grow, and what someone believed five years ago (e.g. me, a kinda racist homophobic brat that thought the entire world deserved to burn) or even one year ago (I thought I was cis despite hating puberty) will not be the same as what they believe now.
Yes, hold people accountable for their actions- but only if itās necessary and they havenāt already learned and grown. If you act like someone can never change, that will only make it so they wonāt want to change.
