f/o calling you “my love” especially on days you aren’t feeling the best, and just need some extra comfort.

You don't have to have life figured out. Career, school, goals; all of it can be worked on one step at a time. Your f/o doesn't mind helping you figure out what's best for you or to help get your mind off the stress that may come with such important decisions!

You don't have to look a certain way. Fat, thin, muscular, tall, short, average. Your body is perfect to your f/o, not because of how it looked when you met, or how it looks now, but because it's your own. It's perfect because it's a part of you, an ever-changing work of art.

You don't have to always feel at your best. You're allowed to be angry, sad, empty, tired; it doesn't make you any less deserving of your f/o's love and care. They'll always do their best to help you work out your emotions or at least give you something to help you out with it all; whether it be space, a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on.

You don't have to be affectionate all the time. It's okay to have moments, short or long, where affection can be something difficult to muster. Your f/o still loves you and they know that you love them as well!

You don't have to be in the perfect environment. Harsh home life, complicated relationships with friends and/or family, your f/o will have your back no matter what. You'll always be able to rely on them in your darkest hour, and they'll never see you seeking them out as just a need for attention or overly clingy behavior. They're happy to be your safe place, no matter what you may be going through.

You don't have to be anything other than yourself. You don't need to look, act, think, talk, or do anything differently than you normally would! Your f/o's love for you is true and unconditional. They love everything about you, even the parts that you haven't learned to love about yourself yet.

Your f/o loves you for you. Through the best and the worst of it all, they'll stick by your side no matter what! Don't be hard on yourself, you're doing the best you can in your current situation, and that's all that really matters!

i am white, ill preface this with that.

I see poc selfshippers talking about imagines that arent inclusive quite a lot (ive seen you reblog a few posts about it!) and i wanted to ask how i could make my imagines more inclusive

i dont think that its my place to make imagines for poc as i dont want to misrepresent anything or stereotype anything; i dont know what people would want in a poc s/i centered imagine?

and none of my imagines really mention anything race related specifically- i try to make them quite neutral?

im so sorry if this is the wrong place again; i want to make sure im being inclusive and i know that its probably not the right blog as its one for poc themselves but i really dont know where to ask!

in terms of imagines being more inclusive, these are the things i tend to see that annoy me the most in terms of lack of inclusivity but i'm sure other people of color can feel free to tack on:

HAIR DESCRIPTIONS... if you are going to write an imagine of an f/o doing SOMETHING with your hair (running fingers through it, styling it, whatever) please either write multiple versions of the imagine to cover different hair textures or don't cover it at all!!! i see people do it with long/short hair nowadays but i think hair texture is something important to keep in mind. my f/o cannot run his fingers through my hair!!! i have 4c hair his fingers WILL GET STUCK!!!!!

in addition if you're going to write imagines like the above i think its worth considering writing imagines for people who may wear head coverings too... i never see those and i think that hijabi self shippers deserve cute stuff too!!

i don't usually see people do the whole 'describing the reader as pale' thing as much as they used to but omg that used to be such a pet peeve for me... i would roll my eyes into the stratosphere every time i saw it. just infuriating!!

❅ Of course he calls you ‘cool kid’, but once you’re together he likes to specify ‘my cool kid’ 😘 he also occasionally uses pet names like ‘honey’ or ‘baby’ if you’re ok with them. And if not he tells you it’s no problem, he loves the sound of your name too!

❅ Being so tall, Freddy can pick you up easily, so he’ll hear nothing about your weight, height, anything! No matter if you’re tall or small, petite or plus-sized, he’s scooping you up into his arms bridal-style any chance he gets.

❅ He may not carry your food in the same way he used to, but keeping you nourished and provided for is still really important to Freddy, who learns how to prepare all your favorite meals from Stefan and Mitchell down to the letter.

❅ In the same vein, if you have allergies or aversions he avoids them like the plague and gets annoyed when others or restaurants are casual about bringing it around you or unsure. He’s the one who speaks up and asks them to make sure.

❅ Did somebody say living weighted blanket BECAUSE I DID. He’s worried about squishing you but the moment you reassure him he is on you, his body running cool but still filling you with warmth as he runs a hand along your side.

❅ When he sees how calming this is for you, he tucks it away into his mind and remembers it if you’re ever overtaken by anxiety or panic. His weight closes around or over you, a large hand running over your hair. “I’ve got you, cool kid. Can you tell me three things you can see?”

❅ Corny pick-up lines somehow work coming from Freddy. He’ll hit you with the “Your parents must be bakers because you’re a cutie pie!” or a “Want a raisin? How about a date?” and instead of groaning you find yourself giggling and smiling up at him.

❅ Has a habit of (gently, of course! he’d never hurt you on purpose!) tracing your jawline with one of his claws.

❅ Another habit he has is leaving you little surprises in places he knows you’ll go, like placing a little gift in your drawer so you find it when you’re getting ready and your morning’s a little brighter!

❅ If he ever loses his cool, you’re the one who can calm him down, a simple touch slowing his breathing and drawing his glare back down to you, where it softens considerably.

❅ Holds you tight when he kisses you, one broad hand spanning your back and the other either gripping your waist or shoulder.

❅ Texts like a middle-aged dad sometimes. Sends an image like this

with the message ‘No side chick necessary 😎 a dr pepper could never replace you!!! But hey, wanna dr pepper? 😉’

❅ bUT beyond the dad jokes this man (yeti) texts you good morning and good night EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. unless something is very wrong. Every morning you’ll see a sweet message like ‘Good morning Cool Kid!! You’re gonna crush it today like always 🩵’ or ‘You look great this morning! How do I know? Because you do every morning 😎😘’

❅ You KNOW one of Freddy’s favorite dates to take you on (so long as you can enjoy it too) is ice skating! Not only is he at home in that environment, he loves any activity where he can hold and guide you and you both are there for each other if you fall 🫶🏻

❅ I also feel like he’d like bowling for some reason. It’s a simple, classic hangout but also a good way to get some tension out! Freddy’s a sweet guy with a mean throw 😎 yet another excuse to get behind you and ‘show you how to aim’ if you’ve never bowled or have a hard time!

❅ Absolute KING if you’re sick or on your period. Blankets, soup or snacks depending on your state, taking your temperature like clockwork if you have a fever. He knows exactly what to prepare for you in any given state. Nauseous? Ginger tea and simple, bland stuff. Congested? Lots of fluids and broth. Just not feeling life right now? Chocolate and painkillers. Freddy’s typical smile falls as he tells you he wishes he could take your pain away, but being here is the next best thing. You remind him how much better you feel for that alone.
