I had a short course at the university (one semester, I didn't go to any classes before university) and now I'm getting the master's degree in oil painting (I completely abandoned it, unfortunately, but I managed to make several paintings and sketches). At the same time, I took animation courses, perhaps they helped me understand some points, for example, how important form readability and dynamics are. But the most important thing is the almost daily sketches. Coincidentally, drawing distracts me from anxiety, so for almost 10 years I've been carrying sketchbooks with me everywhere, and I've been drawing just to distract myself.

Over time, no matter how bad you are at drawing, if you practice often, you will be able to make good progress I think. I made a note about a couple of SUPER important points that I was taught. The practice of sketching with a soft pencil for a short time (2-5 minutes) helped a lot, then you learn to draw very quickly and grasp the most important things. Oh, and the obligatory warmups! You fill the paper with curls and shapes to warm up your arm and head.
