Jean Kirschtein~x~Marco Bodt

AU where Jean works at a coffee shop and one day it’s hella slow and boring, so Jean is just sitting behind the counter, laying his head in his arms on the surface. A boy comes in quietly and sits down in front of him. Jean doesn’t lift up his head, but feels a light tapping on his arm. When he looks up he sees short haired, freckled boy who smiles and waves. Jean quickly smiles and asks what he wants. Marco responds by signing that he’s deaf. When Jean doesn’t understand, Marco climbs over the counter and points on the menu what he wants. Jean is stunned at first, but breaks into a giant grin. He falls in love with Marco’s bold and daring attitude, not at all letting his hearing impairment stop him.

Spent a good amount of time trying to figure out if they had given Montparnasse the first name Marco or if this was an OC - All because I originally read Jehan and not Jean…
