I’ve been fortunate enough to be a part of the CMMB Global CHAMPS workshop. Spread over four days, people from the five CMMB country offices came to Nairobi to discuss the best ways to save the lives of mothers and children, and how to be efficient at it!

CMMB celebrated the official opening of this renovated primary health care centre, the Athi clinic.
Before this clinic was opened, people had to walk for 26 kilometres to Kibwezi to access healthcare!
This is projected to increase antenatal care visits as well as immunisation rates throughout the Athi ward, thus saving the lives of countless women and children.

Hello and welcome to my blog. I've landed safe and sound in Nairobi, Kenya, where I’ll be based for the next six months, volunteering for CMMB as a Public Health Specialist.
This is the view from the office. I find Kenya very beautiful. Green is everywhere. This is an instant mood setter for me, an Egyptian who comes from a country made up of mostly concrete jungles and deserts.
