I have a new found cut on my wrist.
I wasn’t the one to place it there, it was given on accident.
She didn’t know what she did. She didn’t know the conflict she would cause in my head.
Because when she put her accidental cut on my wrist, I watched it.
Like a child watching their mind numbing shows, I watched this new found cut on my wrist.
How it burned, how it oozed, how the scab formed, how it itched, how it healed over, how it scarred.
And now I think, and I sit, and I think some more, and I stand, and I walk, and I watched it.
And now I write this, and I look away. And I try not to think about my new found scar on my wrist and how it looks too familiar.
