Without fail, every time a woman is talking about how she does not want to have children and never wants to be pregnant and how medical professionals, romantic interests and family members keep trying to bulldoze her decision and keep expecting her to change her mind because motherhood is something that is expected of all women and it is abhorrent to think a woman could not desire it, a random mother spawns in the comments to be like “Well, actually, you never know! I didn’t want children and then I got pregnant and I realized I love being a mama and I have five little babies now! Could happen to you! 🥰”
Sister, keep that to yourself or make your own goddamn post, you are ignoring that woman’s central concern and belittling her, you don’t even think you’re doing it. Formerly childfree women who ended up having children and loving it are like detransitioners in the sense that there is nothing inherently wrong with changing your mind about having children or realizing you were mistaken about your gender identity but immediately weaponizing your indecision to tell people that the barriers to healthcare and the violations of their bodily autonomy and the way society ignores that person’s wishes is actually okay because you were wrong. Some people do know themselves.

Is your Operator expressive in any way or does he just like stand still when "talking"?
Like, ik he's an eldritch entity that doesn't have habits like pinching the bridge of your nose or waving your hands around as you speak, but does he still do these things to come off as less uncanny? (At least for Reader)
Or does he just stand there... Menacingly?
He doesn’t talk with his body at all usually- HOWEVER he makes an active choice to match readers mannerisms to make them more comfortable.
I forgot what post I talked about it, but when he’s around you, he does try his best to make himself less uncanny!! He knows you technically don’t care, but he also knows that it’s a subconscious thing.

Your health and mental wellbeing are top priorities. so he’ll do all the little things necessary for your brain to mark him as “safe” on instinct.
He’ll lean in to hear you talk even if he doesn’t need to, tilt his head to the side so you know he’s listening. When you’re lying on him, if you’re in a bad headspace, he’ll even make his chest rise and fall to mirror breathing.
It’s rhythmic and calming, and he knows it makes you feel more grounded. He’ll emit a soft frizzling sound, too. It’s quiet, barely audible, like if tv static could be warm. White noise to help you sleep. Along with that, his actual facial structure will be reworked.
The operator is typically gaunt, his skin reminiscent of matte porcelain or wax. He’s also very angular in general. His cheeks are sunken in and he doesn’t make any visible expressions. But when he’s around you, he’ll have a very faint “brow bone.”
He’ll “squint” at you or arch a brow. He’ll “sigh” and the curve of that faux bone will raise when he gives into another one of your nonsense requests. It’s not obvious, yet the slight shadows will contour his features so you can gage his responses and intentions.
It makes you less nervous when you speak and easier for him to convey his tone. Before he got used to accommodating your human worries, he’d have to reassure you constantly that he wasn’t angry at you or scolding you for being curious about his nature.
Feeling guilt was not something he ever considered a possibility, but when you’d come to him quiet and shrinking in on yourself, he’s sure that moment came close.
You were so evidently attempting to hold back tears while you asked if he was upset with you for being a bother- when all he’d done was nod during your last conversation. Apparently his silence and lack of active engagement came off cold, and you’d been in your head about it since.
He’s aware of the presence he has, and the pressure that comes with it. It’s simply what came with being what he was- yet he hadn’t considered how it’d affect a mortal that wasn’t a pawn, but something cherished instead.
After that incident, he changed his tactics. It’s not that you didn’t believe him or that he was cruel to you- far from it actually, but that didn’t matter. Humans memorized body language and social cues, the pitches in voice and micro expressions during interactions.
And he had made you feel disregarded.
All knowing, all powerful, yet when his knowledge and wisdom was needed most, it had failed him.
He held you all night, whispering about how special you were. Telling you how the position you had was a one in a million chance, promising that he was not capable of being petty or becoming bored of you. Still, your eyes remained unsure, and that cemented his decisions around how he’d handle his outward appearance.
While it was definitely a learning curve at the beginning of your relationship, he’s grown to shift his form when you’d be anywhere near him. It’s done without a thought and seamless.
You haven’t realized why exactly you’re less wary about poking at him these days, but it’s clear in how you approach him.
A success in his mortal romance studies, if he does say so himself.
