THE MANDALORIAN (2019-) Chapter 10: The Passenger

The LIGHTSABER, also referred to as a laser sword by those who were unfamiliar with it, was a weapon usually used by the Jedi, the Sith, and other Force-sensitives. Lightsabers consisted of a plasma blade, powered by a kyber crystal, that was emitted from a usually metal hilt and could be shut off at will. It was a weapon that required skill and training, and was greatly enhanced when used in conjunction with the Force.

From the moment I met you, all those years ago, not a day hasn’t gone by when I haven’t thought of you. And now that I’m with you again, I’m in agony. The closer I get to you, the worse it gets. The thought of not being with you, I can’t breathe. I’m haunted by the kiss that you should never have given me. My heart is beating, hoping that kiss will not become a scar. I THOUGHT I WAS DEAD BEFORE. I WAS WRONG. THEY GET TO THE GUNGAN CITY. THEY SEE THE MURAL OF THE DAY THE NABOO HUMANS UNITED WITH THE GUNGANS. AND SABE LOOKS RIGHT AT HIM AND SAYS THEY MOURN THE LOSS OF ANAKIN SKYWALKER ALONG WITH THE LOSS OF THEIR FORMER QUEEN. AND OF COURSE VADER CANNOT STAND ANY OF THIS. THE CONSTANT BARRAGE OF MEMORIES, THE SPECTER OF PADME’S FACE ON THIS WOMAN WHO IS NOT HER, THE REMINDER THAT HE KILLED PADME, THAT SHE’S BEYOND HIS REACH FOREVER. ANAKIN SKYWALKER’S LOSS IS MOURNED. I’M JUST FUCKING DEAD ON THE FLOOR.
