“To be honest, if it has liquor in it, I’m not complaining. I’m partial to whiskey, though.”

Kip laughed at his words and rolled his eyes. “We were, but I certainly wasn’t a human at the turn of the millennium. Even if I was, I seriously doubt that I would have acted that way.” He pointed out. “Would you have?” He actually didn’t know much about Jackson’s human life. As his boyfriend ruffled his hair, he gasped, his hands immediately leaving from around Jackson so he could fix his hair. “I’m offended.” He complained as he tried to fix it, sticking his tongue out. “Maybe I’ll have to track some of the pictures down.”

“That was when it was, you’re right.” Kip admitted with a laugh, remembering what it had been like. “Humans are so funny that way.” He just couldn’t believe that people used to think that the world was coming to an end just because the millennium was coming up. “I completely agree.” He sipped at his own drink and then laughed at his question. “Yes. And I almost wish I was one of them. But if I was, I knew you likely wouldn’t let me be seen with you.” He teased, planting a kiss on the other’s temple. “I’m already too ridiculous already, you don’t need nineties me back again. Although, I would kill to have a picture of your hair from then.”

Kip felt himself smiling as Jackson wrapped his arm around him and kissed his temple. “I am. Did you realize this is the first party we’ve been to together since the nineties?” He asked with a bit of a laugh. “If you don’t count the ball, obviously. Because I don’t.” He sipped at his own drink and followed the other’s gaze around the room for a moment before his eyes fell back on Jackson again. He found the feeling of immortality strange. Before Redmour, it had been twenty years since he and Jackson spent any real time together, and while that was like the blink of an eye for a vampire, it also felt like it was forever ago. 

The two had arrived and spent a few minutes together, before going off separately to mingle. It had been a little while, before Kip decided to grab a drink for himself, then another one for Jackson - from a separate table, of course; he doubted Jackson would appreciate anything with blood. The vampire glanced around the room before finally spotting the fallen angel, and he started making his way through the crowd, before nudging his arm with his elbow gently and holding out the drink. “There you are. I thought you might like one of these.”

Kip honestly hadn’t fed properly in a while as well, so when Alec mentioned them not having any blood, he just rolled his eyes. “They have some, it just takes forever to process everything. I get it, but there’s nothing for us to do about it.”

Kip chuckled a bit, nodding. “Gotcha.” He really hadn’t been paying attention. With all the bodies in the building, he was sure that when he thought she smelled like a vampire, he was just wrong. “Oh, you’re Isabel. Nice to meet you, I’m Kip Actoner.”

Kip sighed as he waited in line behind Alec, also growing impatient. It had been a long time that they’d been waiting in this line, and it didn’t seem to be getting shorter any time soon. “Chill, Alec.” He started, rubbing his face. “If you make a scene, they won’t give you any.”

“Maybe take your flu shot campaign elsewhere, since I’m immune to it.” Kip said with a bit of a chuckle, an eyebrow raised at her. “A shot certainly won’t fix what’s wrong with me.” If that were possible, he’d be all for it, but at this point in his life there was no way.

Kip took the drink that his friend slid over to him and shrugged, sipping at it a moment before actually answering. “There’s just some drama. My sire’s in town, that’s all.” He admitted. He was much more stressed about it than he let on, but he figured that the whole world didn’t need to know how he felt about the situation. “Oh, that too. Definitely that too. You’ve really let yourself go, you know.” He teased.
