something was off about that map he’d gotten of that part of the city. it was as if some parts were changed. perhaps it was due to the merging of realities that made some things appear where there were others. in other words, eddie was lost. “excuse me…” he called for the nearest person, a smile on his lips. “hi, uhm… do you know where we are… in this map?” the reporter asked, showing his pocket map to the other, his brows slightly furrowed. at this point edward brock thought he knew the city well enough never to have to resort to images or people for information, but he should admit he was wrong on that. « eddie, you suck at looking at maps. » the symbiote spoke to his mind, annoying as always. “sorry, i’m a bit lost.” he shook his head, laughing shortly, a bit nervous.
hearing someone call out to her, laura turned to face the person, a brow raised. her gaze shifts from him and then to the map in his hands. “people still use pocket maps here?” she asked, having figured that with the vast amounts of tech they had nowadays, those might not be a thing anymore. “i had thought google maps was more popular these days. but, um... i can at least try to help? i’m not exactly from here -- this earth, i mean -- so... things may be different from how i last recall it. i’m still trying to get used to... well, everything.” she replied, moving to look at the map nonetheless for a second before she pulled her phone out -- another adjustment she had to make upon arriving here; new tech -- and opened the maps app in an attempt to show him their location. “where are you trying to get to? maybe it’d be easier to try to figure out the directions there from here.”
