Opinions on relevant canon characters:
Austria- My maternal half-brother. He is not the smartest, nor strongest around, and I constantly push him to be better as a nation. He is sneaky and manipulative. I honestly do not understand why he is the national representative, and not I.
Germany- A man worthy of my respect. He is strong, willful, determined and with a perfect balance of stubbornness and flexibility. Despite his losses in war, he is an excellent soldier and a natural leader. I would follow this man into Hell with no fear.
Prussia- A somehow competent soldier with a complete lack of respect for his higher-ups. He was my commander during the World Wars on the Panzer divisions, and while a great strategist, he is hopeless when it comes to manners. He has earned my respect, but I do not like him.
Hungary- A woman with fire in her gut. She is a marvelous fighter and while she and I do not get along too well in Roderich's presence, I do like her. In battle she is extremely competent and off the war path, pleasant company. If only she could stop fawning over her ex-husband and  pay attention to a man who could actually take care of her needs...
N. Italy- This boy is supposed to be much older than myself, but he appears to be a runt. He shies from combat and while competent at times, he is a nuisance. I'd rather not have him fighting on my side.
America- Loud, obnoxious and all together annoying. I'd go as far as to say he is worse than Prussia. He does have a slightly better sense of authority, though he simply does not know when he needs to just shut up. All too often I have wanted to deck him.
England/Britain- A worthy opponent, but a lousy ally. Strong, smart, clever and a good soldier. He is good company and has excellent taste in teas, albeit his cooking leaves quite a bit to be desired.
France- clever and romantic, yes, but entirely too feminine for my tastes. He knows his way around a vinyard and has proven his abilities as a friend and companion. I look forward to enjoying his company more often.
Spain- A complete ditz. This man is...well, I believe him to be rather dim-witted. He does, however, have abilities on the mount of a horse and consistently proves a challenge to Dietrich and myself.
