The Thin Veneer Of Civilization

Today, I hope that the hardest decision that you have make is what flavor ice cream to get.

How badly she treated me was a reflection of how much she hated herself.

It’s like setting fire to the house that you live in just to spite your roommates.

We will always be the problem that we can’t solve.

Failure for the human race looks like, one person with a net worth of a trillion dollars while millions of people starve.

There’s no hope for humanity.

I can’t help but think of Germany after WWI and the reparations that they had to pay for starting the war. What will we have to endure after this fiasco? A war started with no clear cause, no clear plan, no consultation with neither our allies nor our own congress. A war that appears to be started on impulse by an old man of below average intelligence.

In our time, we didn’t care enough.

You’re always being judged. Always.

Did we ever really appreciate what we have? It doesn’t feel like we did. If we did maybe we’d take our time here more seriously. Maybe we’d be spending our days on more important things.

I think we’re done.

Who’s going to step up and tell him he’s out of control and needs to give us the keys?

Laziness. That’s really it.
