Well, this book unexpectedly turned out to be my favourite part from the HP series. I say “unexpectedly”, because it would mean nothing to me if it wasn’t for the years I spent loving all those books that were before - so its value, to me, comes from the marvellousness of the previous ones. Somehow, this is just the perfect ending to them all, the one that kind of invites you to explore that imaginary world even more. And the staircase scene was the first that I’ve read the spoilers about from Tumblr, the day after the world premiere and my ordered copy was still on its way to me and I tried not to read any spoilers on the internet, but I allowed myself to read just ONE and that was it. The staircase scene. And that excitement and first impression is still absolutely fresh whenever I listen to Half Life.
