My second experiment in writing a song based on a tarot spread, combined with Tonic Theory Edition cards. I drew entirely very, extremely traditional harmony cards (including the dreaded Pachelbel's Canon card) and I took that as a sign that I should focus on words.

I got a new gizmo in the mail today (the Teenage Engineering PO-33 "K.O!" micro sampler thingie) so I allowed my song today to just be a first experiment. All the sounds are sampled by me - kick and snare from my drumset, harpsichord chords from my... harpsichord, and me singing some words into the mic while I was in line at the Taco Bell drive through. I wrote a 16 word phrase and just sang it on a major scale then chopped it up to generate the vocals, the resulting melody is potentially kinda cool and not something I would have written otherwise. I'm excited to explore this thing further, I didn't use any of its effects, perameter locks, or really many of its most interesting features at all on this first stab.
