As a child, Diego was that bratty, popular boy who befriended everyone...everyone except that weird kid with an imaginary friend. All the kids wanted to be invited to his birthday parties and sleepovers - everything was great for him. When his father moved up in his career, things started to change. He transferred to a private school, where he wasn't the cool kid anymore. Making friends wasn't a breeze either. Everyone's family was just as important (if not more) and he was looked down on in this school "hierarchy". High school was a miserable time and he had no choice but to study hard to please his parents' demands. Like Harlow, uni was a fresh start for Diego. When the two met again, he returned to being a nightmare and teased Harlow for fun. It was so amusing to piss him off and it made uni more tolerable. But the first true friendship he had was with Antonio, who felt like a brother! They navigated law school together and they both had a newfound freedom, where they weren't being constantly scrutinised by their families.

Depois o papai decidiu descer de snowboard e Cherry e eu fomos brincar de trenó, só que tristemente a minha situação piorou, e a Cherry achou melhor cancelar todos os outros planos e voltarmos para casa… Onde eu estaria de castigo para SEMPRE."

Pearce: Don't think you're meant to sit on that. Jude: Oh—sorry, did you wanna play? Pearce: Nah. You're good. Jude: Oh… Okay, yeah. I was just texting my sister. Pearce: At a party? Jude: She worries. She's not really the— Pearce: You wanna come outside? [ jude pauses ] Jude: …What? Pearce: Come outside. I can barely hear you over the music. Jude: Oh. Yeah. Sure.
