      All Miranda could be bothered to give was a weak flop of her tail, barely knocking against her own foot as she swished it only an inch or so to the side. There came a sluggishness with her fainting that she was very used to by now. Miri hadn’t meant to faint, as seldom anyone does, and she had almost missed the tailspin head rush that came with suddenly moving too fast, too fast for a body struggling to maintain itself at a snail’s pace, before she was sully hit with the startling, overwhelming exhaustion, claiming her body and soul. It was like falling asleep, with a fluttering moment before she fell, where all she could think of was nodding off and fading away.

       Her body complained as her awareness pulled itself back into her limbs. They felt like leaden weights, hard to move, hard to even understand how to move, with the disgusting haze that cloyed to her mind and felt her mostly just wishing to fall back asleep, that she was tired and worn out and just wanted to lurk in the sweet darkness where her body was forgotten.

        “Fainting spell?” Her words stuck between her teeth, vile as Miranda had to continually force her stomach to not empty itself, nausea and dizziness only feeding into each other, movement too much for her singular brain to process. All the confusion of having a hammer knocked into her head, and none of visceral horror nor threat to her life.

It didn’t really matter at the moment, did it? Miranda was, apparently, in the process of having her soul leave her mortal form. Here Len had thought that maybe, just maybe, he wouldn’t have to worry quite as much about outliving someone he was close to. Miranda, evidently, was on a quest to prove him wrong on that front. She had lured him into a trap, seeming so sweet, so easy to love, only to break his heart by dying. How unfathomably cruel of her.

“Please tell me that’s all that is,” Len mumbled, his own face rapidly draining of color as well, fear’s icy grip clutching at his heart. “C’mon, you’re just-- hey, Mirry, you’re fine, right? Everything’s fine? Please?”
