This week I wrote 2 chapters for Mind your Step and The Hunter’s Creed, and one for Harker and I’m the Boss. Of these, Hunter’s Creed included the first chapter of the book and I’m the Boss the last one of that book.
This Week I edited 3 chapters for Mind Your Step, as well as 3 for The Engineer’s Family, and one for Harker and Going Home.
Wednesday was Canada Day here, so I took the day off. The plan included going to a get together arranged by the complex where I live in the hopes of being a bit social with my neighbors. I went, but ultimately it was nothing like what I was hoping, which, thinking about it, was probably I’m Caucasian of Canadian descent. So I was expected BBQs, people behind them, tents for the shade, hot dogs, burgers and people mingling as they ate.
The area is almost exclusively Middle-Eastern, so it looked nothing like that. The tents were there, but chairs were provided, which lead to people sitting with their group as they ate. Burgers were available, provided by a local restaurant. They were vegetarian and quite good, if slightly spicier than I prefer. I ate, then me and my house mate headed back home, where I watched the Glass Onion.
A follow up email from the corporation revealed that the get together was actually incidental to the real reason for this to happen. The whole thing was to have an audience for the raising of the new Canadian flag.
On Thursday, I went to see Supergirl, and that was much more fun. Not on the level of James Gunn’s Superman movie, but none the less a good time. Good summer popcorn fare. The only downside to the movie, to me, is that the villain is very much a Marvel type movie villain. If you are wondering what I mean about that, go watch the review of marvel movies. The odds are good a few of them will describe this villain exactly since good villains in one thing the MCU nearly always struggles with.
