BLONDE AMBITION !

As someone that loved natural lighting, Kimmi couldn't pass up the apothecary when she saw the candles on display. Around the house there had to be somewhere between 50-100 and they made the perfect mood lighting. Upon closer inspection, the bath products and handmade soaps had sold Kimmi is shopping around a little more before moving on. Her mini was currently dragging her grandparents around so she had some time to peruse.

The biggest shock aside from what had followed her from New York was running into the movie star that was Kimmi Valle. Sure, she looked a little different no longer a platinum blonde but it was a face impossible not to recognize. Especially since the woman had been feature on countless magazine covers and they'd even done a shoot together back in the day.

When they'd initially bumped into each other outside of one of the boutiques downtown, the former super model had nearly teared up that shed been remembered.

Most of her life Hana had struggled to feel as though she belonged anywhere or that she had any sort of impact on people's lives that she considered friends or more. So, one all day shoot and a night out for some drinks being memorable to someone held a lot of weight.

And now, like many other times in the last month and a half, she found herself all too happy to wait on the actress for a friend date.

"Sorry about that." Cool and collected even though she'd breezed in, Kimmi slipped in with the woman she'd reconnected with genuine apology. Being late, even by just a few minutes, wasn't favorable. Respecting other's time had been apart of her reputation and her punctuality was an attribute praised by many in the industry. A ghosted greeting met Hana's cheek before she was firmly in her seat, one hand around the hot drink ready and waiting on her. "Dell was upset that she couldn't find her favorite sweater. We tore up the whole house only to call my parents and find out it had been left there."

"Thanks." The reply was soft, quiet, not audible above a murmur. Kimmi was close enough to him as she slipped by in order to sink into the seat however that she was sure he'd likely heard. Before she'd even settled the bartender was waiting patiently in front of her with a smile. A demure laugh spilled past her lips as her eyes glanced to the bottles behind them. "I'll just have a dirty martini."

If Phoebe were to be honest with herself, she was getting a little sick of people. The ren faire had seemed exciting, especially when talking to Asli about it, but truthfully it wasn’t her sort of thing. As much as she loved to dress up and a gimmick, fantasy had never been her thing. And a crowd of people set in a world that she couldn’t fully immerse herself in didn’t seem like the best idea for her right now. Instead she decided to hit up the aquarium, fairly quiet as mostly everyone would be at the faire. Finding solace in the penguin exhibit, the darkness and cool temperature comforting, she sat and watched the penguins for a little while, before moving up from the little bench when her legs started to go numb, finding herself drawn to the “Naughty Penguin/Good Penguin of the Month Board”, jumping when she heard the sound of someone else in the exhibit, breaking her out of her immersion. “Shit, sorry, just not expecting anyone else here - with the faire and everything, it’s like everyone in town went to that.”

Although Kimmi had attended the faire for a few hours with Adella, who had a wonderful time, the newly returned to her roots brunette found the whole experience a little too close for comfort. The shows and events had been great, along with the costumes and general theme. It was the acting, people playing parts and delving into characters that strangely made Kimmi feel a little anxious.

he’s been standing in front of a food stand for a twenty minutes now. a hand in his pocket while he squints up at the menu and watching what other people order.

only until he realizes he’s been blocking someone’s view for quite some time.

“ sorry—“ he managed bashfully, ducking and shuffling a little bit to the left. hand raises to rub at the back of his neck, hesitating to say anything more for just a moment.

“ I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many different types of crepes in my life. “ santiago began, chuckling under his breath. It was almost a little ridiculous. he blinked for a few moments in silence, finger and thumb rubbing near his chin and cheek.

“ you wouldn’t happen to suggest anything..would you? “

One of the best things about being home in Colorado was how fresh things were, especially at the Farmer's Market. The options were available in Southern California but then there was always traffic and distance. Plus, it never felt quite as authentic. Kimmi could have been biased, though as she stood in line with her mini, who'd kindly requested crêpes, the scent made her think otherwise.

Foster wasn't the same person he'd been 12 years ago when he'd last stood on Colorado soil. In a lot of ways he was glad for that fact, but that, angry, sad kid still lingered somewhere inside him. He'd never done well standing still, and the fact that he was doing it here of all places made him want to act out in a way he hadn't in years, like an infant throwing a temper tantrum because they had no other way of expressing themselves. His palms itched, and he wondered if stealing a pack of cigarettes would help the way it used to. He considered trying it, but the idea of being caught shoplifting as a thirty year old man was pathetic in a way he couldn't quite stomach.

So he found other ways of occupying himself — preferably the kinds that supplied alcohol to calm his constant nerves... And he tried his hardest not to draw attention to himself. "Sorry," he said with a sheepish smile. "I think you might have the wrong person."

It seemed the guilt Kimmi would feel for uprooting her daughter and leaving the home and life she'd known would be never ending. The novelty of Adella seeing her grandparents had worn off, and not that her little mini was upset with seeing them so much, the reality had simply sunk in that this wasn't some vacation. Or one of their visits they'd make once or twice a year. Permanence had begun to settle in.

Perhaps that had made Kimmi a little anxious as well.
