Killing the Lie

Okay, here it is, everybody. We hope you enjoy!

We did it! We had our fist public screening of all of our documentaries here in San Diego last night and it was awesome. Everyone did a great job and we're all super excited to see what our counterparts in L.A. have been up to all semester.

We know nobody likes to be kept waiting so hopefully you'll enjoy this little taste of our documentary.

Honestly, we're just really excited to share it but we're going to wait until Thursday (after both screenings) so this is our compromise with ourselves.

Watch this space for some more updates next week. We'll be uploading some video (we promise). We're having two screenings (one on Tuesday and one on Wednesday) and after that, who knows what may come of our little documentary!

So, we're all grad students in San Diego. Most of us don't make movies for a living, or even plan on doing that post graduation. We're studying social work, and are making this documentary about themes related to a specific area within social work practice (so mysterious!).

A filmmaker (actual film guy, not a social worker) from San Diego recently made it to the big time with an independent film loosely based on his experiences working in group homes (basically where social workers live)

And now its on netflix!! So go watch it everybody!!

So today we have the rough cut down. Now time to figure out that tricky exporting process. So excited about our progress.
