what the fuck is it with batfamily fans and hating women

atp I’m not even talking about the way they treat Cass or Babs or Steph or Talia or any other woman in these characters’ lives or even the way I’ve seen them write women into their fanfics just to portray them as evil bitches so the batboys can be innocent victims, I’m talking about the way I just saw a post about how the WOMEN in refrigerators trope is about WOMEN and men can not be fridged and one of them was in the fucking comments arguing like “well technically Jason Todd—“ IM GONNA HIT JASON TODD WITH A FUCKING CROWBAR AGAIN BITCH FUCK JASON TODD!!!!

i'll be honest it gets kind of annoying when ppls immediate canned response to an m/f ship is "she deserves better" because over half the people who say that then proceed to hyperfocus on some yaoi with the man involved and never give the woman a second glance. forgive me but i think she deserves better than being girlbossed off screen and never mentioned again

The ReadComicOnline fiasco is really tragic for a lot of reasons but for me as a person who has literally presented at research conferences about comics it’s another really disappointing reminder that comics as a medium of storytelling and art aren’t treated with the same cataloging care as other mediums. It shouldn’t be possible that removing a third party piracy site is akin to removing a linchpin. Why am I seeing posts from current creatives lamenting that they’ve lost access to decades of resources. Why do these companies devalue this art so much that they don’t even have their own internal records. Do you really see so little value in what you have made? What people have made for you for almost 100 years?
