I’ve also seen people describe Rollo as having OCD and/or autism-like symptoms which I can definitely see. I’m not super well versed in OCD, but his very strict schedule and routine, and notably his insistence on the exact same number of grapes and croissants every day, his lack of social connections despite people seeming to want to be close to him, him thinking nobody will like the real him because it’s “bad” and even the fact he refuses a similar stationary to the one he usually uses even though it would be cheaper in his vignette - alll of this seems to be beyond a person who just likes routine

Which is why there are 3 Seperate 'Tabs' , for lack of a better word.

Tab 1 is dedicated to being his Diary and to get out any Thoughts that are easier to put into words rather than drawings. You, the Player, dont have complete control over what he is writing since it is supposed to reveal his own personal thoughts, reactions to certain events, recollections of memories, etc. Your Actions only decide wether you unlock the Diary Entry or not, you dont get to write them (for now).

Tab 2 is dedicated to being his Sketchbook. Admittedly it is just a Horrible and Cheap Copy of a worse Version of mspaint. Just as horrible as it was to programm. You get 5 colours, that is it. The man lives in a stranger's basement, he doesn't get the luxury of all the primary colours and neither do you. No eraser either. If you are unhappy with your drawing you gotta rip the page out and start again.

I've Actually Considered having the Colours available be randomized every day, I'll bother one of my CompSci Friends later today because I'm not touching that part of the code without anyone looking over my shoulder ever again.

Also! Your Drawings will be saved, just make sure to make the occasional Q.Save ingame aswell! Im thinking about adding the feature of you being able to name your Doodle aswell :)

Anyways the Front End is ugly as shit but atleast it works and it is the one thing you actually have complete control over! You dont even have to draw at all! Be lazy! We both know that I can't stop you!

Moving on, Tab 3 is just to keep track of Characters and possibly Places. It will mention who they are, what Jervis thinks of them, a doodle he made of them with all the talent your average 5 year old can muster and this specific 40-something year old, and so on and so forth. Information will be updated regularly throughout the gameplay (yay more work).

Yep that is all so far. You can access the journal anytime throughout the game, you'll get a notification above the Sanity bar if a new note or other had been unlocked. Either through your choices or just by progressing through the dialogue. You can find the Journal in the top right corner. The Journal Entries will either be just written or be hand-drawn by yours truly or yourself. The rest of the Game is Photobashed.

I haven't added any Sprites Yet, I'll probably make an example drawn one and a photobashed one of a few characters.

And letting you guys decide which one you prefer, if any at all.
