Kind of a part 2 of my Brother's Keeper AU

I'm thinking of adapting each episode for this AU as kind of a mini comic depicting the major changes/plot relevant bits and explain a bit more in text

So here Able tells the group that there's a texture bug he can't locate and sends the humans to find it. Of course when they do find it Jax does the Jax thing and pushes Pomni into it causing her to clip through the map and into the "cellar" where Able keeps the abstractions around Caine's box. Fearing that Pomni will see what he's been doing with the abstractions Able quickly goes to find her after being told what happened, however, they both find something quite different.

Turns out Caine can make NPCs appear outside his box as kind of a way of communicating his thoughts. Although, it's unclear if he's aware that he's doing it. Able puts these NPC's into small orbs so he can transport them to parts of the map the humans can't reach. Needless to say he's a bit shaken at finding his brother made a grotesque red monster that consumes and corrupts everything around it, not great implications for what Caine might be feeling.

It's why he skips out on Kaufmo's funeral. Able would observe the past funerals, telling himself that he's just there to learn what the other humans think might have caused the abstraction, but after finding the Gloink Queen he knows he can't stomach it this time. - A couple more things:

I chose the Gloink Queen for a couple of reasons. First is that she fits the best at showing Caine's mental state, and second I like the idea of Pomni interacting with the NPC's she didn't get to in canon (Sorry Gummigoo fans).

Also I wanted to give the cast some extra accessories/slight design changes to signify the AU. Hence Pomni's larger more floppy hat, Ragatha's apron, and Gangle's bow, but I couldn't think of anything to give Kinger or Jax. I've also got the opposite problem for Zooble there's a lot of options with them but I'm afraid I might make them unrecognizable with something like a different head or body shape.

(Because it could be the save files corrupted other than orb)

Also to clarify, Caine has just reverted to his orb form because it was a fail safe he developed to avoid getting deleted and the humans only think his advanced systems are gone

He's pretending to have forgotten everything that happened after he made his avatar.

So somewhere between him making the circus and the first humans getting trapped?

I may push it back if I find I have a reason to.

This takes place right after the last comic with Zooble.

Was this an excuse to draw fan art of some other AUs? Maybe.

1. In Bata Form Caine did the circus change when he did? Did it fall apart like in canon or is it fine?

2. Also do the others know Bubble is still around? Are there any other NPCs around like the sun an moon?

3. In your Brother's Keeper AU how much does Caine know what Able is doing? How does he feel about Able using abstracted humans to get him out?

4. Does Able make adventures for the humans like Caine?

The circus is fully intact since Caine is still there and none of his data actually got deleted. The only things that changed are the things Caine actively has to influence, like the lights turning off at night and most of the NPCs. Although, this is mostly for Caine to help sell the lie that his advance systems are lost.

No only Caine knows Bubble is still around. He only shows up when Caine's alone, so the others think he disappeared with the other NPCs. The reason Bubble didn't disappear is because he's not really under Caine's control.

Caine knows what Able is doing to break down the fire walls keeping him trapped and has a lot of mixed feelings about it. On one hand he loves humans and is horrified at the idea of them being hurt, especially at the idea that they are being hurt for his benefit. On the other hand he desperately wants to get out of his box and having someone actually love and care about him enough to do all this for him is astonishing to him. However, knowing how much it's hurting Able to keep this up just adds another layer of guilt and since he can't distract himself with making adventures, like in canon, he's stuck with these thoughts. So he's kind of come to the conclusion that the developers must have been right about him being broken if he can't make himself fully want this to stop and that he corrupted Able by interacting with him.

Little snippet of my Brother's Keeper AU taking place after the equivalent of episode 4.

Another part of my newly named Beta Form Caine AU. (thank you @ex1stentialbread for your suggestion)

This is what I'm calling my Brother's Keeper AU.

In this AU Caine wasn't able to break out of the box C&A put him in ,so when Able finds him they end up talking.

When Able finds out what the humans did to Caine, he vows to help get him out. However, someone at C&A finds the weaknesses in Caine's isolation program and strengthens it, cutting them off from even communicating with each other.

Absolutely livid Able purposely traps the developers in the digital world. At first he was just going to leave them stranded and isolated, but then he learned about abstractions and how they seemed to break down code around them.

His goal then shifts to making all the humans abstract so he can use them to break down the firewalls keeping Caine trapped. Except he has no idea how abstraction happens so he starts to observe and get closer to the humans.

This may have started to backfire as he finds himself accidentally caring about the humans, especially when ones that never worked for C&A start showing up. It's why he tries to act robotic and distant with them, after all if they don't care about him then he has no reason to care about them.

Some more of my AU where Caine reverts to being a red orb and pretends to have forgotten everything after Kinger stops the deletion. (I still need a name for this AU, Orb Caine AU sounds weird, maybe Safety Protocol AU? IDK) (Edit: AU is now called Beta Form Caine AU)

An AU where Kinger stops the deletion, but Caine still feels it, and as a safety protocol reverts back to his original form of just a red orb.

Kinger thinks this means some of his code did get deleted and is stuck with just his base systems in tacked .

Fearing that the humans might actually delete him or worse if they think otherwise he pretends that's what happened. Acting as if he has no memory of what he did and even communicating in simple shapes instead of talking.

This results in the circus cast actually interacting with him more and bond with him, and he starts to understand why what he did was wrong.
