INCOMING TRANSMISSIONS 2017
2017 is already shaping up to be a busy year, with some amazing collaborations and projects incoming....
Working once again with the amazing Samarbeta residency program at Islington Mill, this time for a film noir theatre experience with live score, blending Phil Carney’s adapted short Noir stories with David McLean’s compositions. Over 18 of Manchester’s finest will emerge through the dusky midnight haze to bring the film noir piece to life. Tickets and more info here. RIP IT UP: A Celebration of Counter Culture
As part of The John Rylands Library exhibition Off Beat, celebrating the work of British Beat writer and underground artist Jeff Nuttall, DEVI will be performing a special one of collaboration in the Library’s breathtaking historic reading room. As with performances in 2014 for the Centenary of William Burroughs, DEVI are a collective of Manchester experimental musicians, spoken word and live video artists. The Event is free, with a zine workshop from 6pm. More info here.
IMPATV are working on some incredibly exciting projects this year, already working with VANISHING and SCHOOLHOUSE on videos for upcoming tracks, as well as some big projects.....
IMPATV are engaged in bringing an immersive video feedback installation to Fat Out Fest 2017.
The complete Alembic feedback apparatus consists of four parts: the Kefáli, the Conduit Head containing the apparatus of capture and display. The Máti, is the receiver of external signals, connected directly to the Stóma which is the projector of information. The forth part of the complete cycle is the Epifáneia to which signals are projected, and received.
