MEMENTO MORI was my third template i uploaded on tumblr, and now that i look at it, i'm not exactly really proud of it (despite it being my second-most popular template on his page). while it is easy to edit compared to my other templates, it doesn't look visually impressive.

finished this google doc template for a server i'm in! they're very swag and it was a blast to make this template. while this template is specifically used for st. ives, this can be used for a character in any academic settings. not marking this at an official template. i'm not the best at teaching tbh!! let me see what i could do.

i personally get most inspiration from tumblr themes, aesthetics and songs. it really does help me to get my juices flowing whenever i have free-time to myself. in addition, i highly suggest that you learn the fundamentals of graphic design.

now, begs the question on how you could put this in practice.

personally, i usually sketch it out on paper before i do it on google docs so that i have a clear understanding of what goes where. go for it with a plan instead of doing it blindly!

linespacing is also a good thing to learn with google docs, adjust it to your liking. (personally use 0.25 or 0.55). see the up and down arrow with some lines? highlight the text you want to adjust the spacing and click that button. go to custom and change it to whatever you feel like. it also affects the highlighting.

size of your google doc is also something you should take into consideration. how linear do you want it? how open-spaced do you want it? i use either letter, executive and statement on landscape (sometimes portrait). choose what you feel like suits what you're going for.

colour schemes are crucial. it helps portray the mood you're going after!

a stylish, minimalist google docs template that is fully customizable (although perfect the way it is). it includes a blank page for your extra info notes. best with contrasting colours (e.g blue and orange or black and white!).

the drawings are also customizable (i think?) by double clicking them, this is how you could change the colour scheme. although, it would still look super cool if you just keep it the way it is.

- this google doc template is based on the song "memento mori: the most important thing in the world" by will wood! give it a listen, it's a nice one if you want existential dread for the next few hours.

HOW TO USE IT?

・like & reblog if used, it helps me grow

・go to file > make a copy > then rename it to whatever you like

・keep the credits, please!

・replace the images by clicking on the image and pressing "replace image"

・this is optimised for the computer, but if you have the google docs app on your phone, it also works just as well (just don't use the browser on mobile).

・have fun, play around with the colours if you want a colourful template, the black and white is meant to be a blank canvas if you wanna get creative.

・this doesn't require any sort of knowledge in google docs, just the basics.
