There's still ONLY two pages of vigil skins/accents in the game database, that makes me so sad. Please make more vigil skins!!

the thing is i don't know if they realize it, and i'm not sure it's on purpose on any level at all (it's probably not), but the way literally all of flight rising lore to date is written more of less implicitly, heavily, frames magic as a whole (and also science and technology as a whole, and really anything other than living in hyper-collectivist subsistence farming communes, and that's not even getting into the fallacy of magic and science being inherently separate and opposing forces (while also still sharing the same Original Sin(s)), but neither of those is the point right now) as innately corrupting, negative, bad to interact with or consider investigating at all, and destructive, and, for lack of a better word, evil. in a way and to a depth that can't really be walked back by piling retcons on top of it after the fact. to retcon that probably-unintentional vibe would require tearing down and completely replacing the fundamental lore, from the beginning, in entirety. they really don't seem to realize the depth to which they've, from the ground up, built one hell of a fundamentally grimdark world that can't just be wallpapered over with anarcho-commie kindergarten cartoon friendship utopia paint after the fact.
