Again- it’s imperative that I make it clear I am NOT defending the people you called out. And yeah- what I wrote in the little comic or wtv sounds like a lecture- but that’s because I suck at asking questions without long reasonings for my side of the view first.
Aaaand also want to make it clear I don’t mind Yumeshipping, and was mostly confused about the whole ‘what do you consider problematic and not problematic’. Which problematic part has nothing to do with Yume, and more so the character you ended up yume-ing (or however you say it idk, I don’t know much about shipping culture and proper terminology lmao).
to summarize:
How is Victim x Chosen any worse than any ship with Dark? In the end all ships (unless, obviously, confirmed family, minor, or something else really bad) are only problematic when the characters aren’t given change or development. [as in, Dark is canonically a terrorist murderer who does evil for fun, and is a problematic character to ship with anyone due to his whole ‘evil for fun’ making him more likely to abuse a partner; but when written DIFFERENTLY he isn’t- and same with Victim and Chosen, it’s currently canonically toxic, but most of the time people give the character development and change them so it’s not unhealthy.]
(I sound like a broken record; but I’m like super paranoid people are gonna be like ‘OH MY GOD FERAL LIKES TOXIC STUFF CANCEL HIM’ which isn’t true- I’m saying that CONTEXT AND DEVELOPMENT MATTER and that ships shouldn’t all be generalized into one group of ‘problematic’ or ‘not problematic’ when the only thing making it problematic is the specific artist’s view of the character’s personality. …Don’t hate me for this you’re cool, I’m just curious and trying to better understand things 🙏)

(ignore my VERY SHITTY ENGLISH, not doing very well today lolz) So ive actually gotten most of the information that ive typed in my little beware from a Tiktoker and one of my friends who USED to be friends with the problematic ppl (no longer) i totally get where youre coming from, and i personally dont really care about the whole ''ChoVic is problematic'' part but alot of people do (NOT DEFENDING IT OFC!!!), but i put it in the way that specific person puts it, The P/A (problematic artist) is romanizing Abuse as from what ive heard from my friend, I personally dont like the ship but i wont start hating when i see it put in a better light. Im also fully aware that in every community there is atleast ONE toxic ship that exists and about my yumeship, Yeah i do admit its kinda toxic, So a lil backstory abt it, its both a yume and OC x Canon ship, My OC/sona (Sage) isnt a great person either (NOT SAYING I AM A BAD PERSON EVEN THO I HAVE MY ISSUES!!) also yes, i do admit that i shouldve put in in a different perspective than i did D: I was in a rush and i clearly shouldve typed it differently and i get that thats my fault :P i hope i explained it well enough, and if there are more questions i could try to answer them since im not that good with answering questions (also DW i wont hate you for ts i totally get your point LMAO :P)
