there is a screen reader / magnification program that is the only one the low vision clinic knows of with these features and it is $650 Canadian Dollars behind specific approved vendors that require you to be geographically close to them and get government approval of a degree that I am only just now reaching after being visually impaired for going on seven years. if you can code a program that does any or all of the following:

Magnifies a display beyond standard options with keyboard / mouse movement inputs or voice commands,

Can read text on the screen,

Has different color filter options for text / background distinction,

Can change and magnify the cursor beyond standard amounts,

Works on Windows or more than just Windows,

Has a keyboard echo (says the character you've pressed on the keyboard out loud)

... there is a genuine, GENUINE need for you to code this and put it at a more accessible price point than $650 Canadian Dollars which I also just learned is a SUBSCRIPTION FEE AND NOT EVEN PERPETUAL. if you are reading this and able to code I am begging you. would genuinely change lives

this is a thing i saw on tiktok and it's been bothering me forever and ever. okay yeah you took bad decisions/hurted people/etc. but that doesn't mean that you're destinated to hurt people or to be a bad person forever and ever. perhaps at the moment you thought what you were doing was good. perhaps you were trying to protect yourself. perhaps you just didn't know any better. perhaps you thought that it wouldn't be that bad. whatever thing you've might've done on the past doesn't define you in any sort of way. you are a human being and you will do a lot of mistakes until you die. putting yourself down won't help on anything. others putting you down doesn't mean anything. don't let your mistakes be something that defines you, but let them be a reminder that you're still here and that you can grow as a person.

Not in the way we want. Its actually an opposite peak.#Its like if you inverted mount doom.#Yeah your body will collapse in on itself like a dying star.#But it has to do that so you can re-emerge from the pit of doom like a phoenix reborn from the ashes of the worlds most impressive dumpster #fire. And it will not feel the same.#But you’re free to create freedom now.#so rest it up. Then #slowly emerge as tolerated and with respect to your needs and preferences.#maybe you hate collabing and your job asked that of you a lot if you’re work burnt.#body is saying “hey that might be okay once a week but how it was before? NO.” So armed with that information #you go into the rest of your life knowing you can be a decent person and also need alone time at work.#Frodo we gotta figure out what you actually want from life. If that is backpacking in the woods forever thats cool but doing it epic #quest style where it is unsustainable is unsustainable and you have to be alive in order to reach a peak both literally and figuratively.#so lets go find some non inverted peaks. And if they’re part of a mountain range #all the better. Lets climb slow. Enjoy the views on the way #and when we get to the top of this mountain #lets take plenty of time to enjoy it.#Then relax into a downhill languid stroll before preparing to explore the next peak.#no need to rush through an easy part just because its easy.

Not in Grace’s tubes but he gets there.#in the book the tubes thing seems quite unpleasant but if you just examine the words the words are funny #more seriously that opening scene is exactly that whether intentionally or just by nature of the ripping the tubes out #reclaiming agency in an extremely non-agencied situation is a very human thing to do in an otherwise bonkers scenario
