- okay. so like is this content good though? like is it just shitty tv that happens to feature queer characters? - am i a bad queer for not watching this stuff (saw a commercial for eyewitness and was like ‘nah’) and i thought WHY? why am i actively turned off by this? - network television pretty much neutralizes most marginalized narratives. as in, just presenting them is enough. - last night, i was watching an interview of rupaul and they say something to the tune of “you have mind for marketing and i think that’s the future of drag,” and i got sad - maybe i’m just a socialist - maybe i’m just a hypocrite, because i’m a queer artist who wants to make a living making queer art… and in an ideal world, that includes writing for television - less pretty cis gay white men please - NO MORE STRAIGHT PEOPLE PLAYING QUEER PEOPLE ON NETWORK TELEVISION Y'ALL HAVE THE MONEY Y'ALL HAVE THE RESOURCES STOP PLAYING
