Ruth Fessele Eby turns 90 this upcoming Wednesday, February 26th. It’s been a few decades since her birth and journey from Esslingen, Deutschland in 1930. She has lived, witnessed and shared much in life. My sisters, Lisa Ortega and Tina Cool threw her a big bash yesterday with dozens of friends and family attending! We are fortunate, of course, blessed to have Mom around for most of of the 20th century and nearly 1/4 of the 21st! Ruth lived through war, a refugee in her nation of birth, a migrant to a new country... her family joined her as she established several homes, where everyone was welcomed, during decades of change. Her story, a blessing to us all, is complex and enduring. 3 children , 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren... with more to follow. Listen closely to each other’s stories. We inherit much more when we are open, when we truly love and share our lives. Thanks Mom! Thanks friends ! Thanks family !
