I’m watching ramparts of ice and I realize that the characters actually have some more depth than just romance. Like miki and koyun were both portrayed as bullied kids and victims but they also did stuff. I haven’t really thought that much abt miki but koyun literally manipulated a guy who really liked her just to get back at some bully, and the whole time her flashbacks made it seem she was purely victim. That’s kinda cool
There’s also Minato w his savior complex. Like he doesn’t feel any actually empathy or friendliness. When people make characters like him who are friends with everyone it’s kind of just their character to be amiable but this guy’s underlying trait of feeling pity more than empathy shows some depth too. Maybe he’s almost selfish cuz being friends with anyone only makes himself feel better about things.
