Here's my theory (but I apologize it's basically based of my horrible memory. Bad typing cause I'm lazy and little research. And assumptions)

My D.M.S theory for dawtde

After the ending of dawtde. Once you go to the folders to check it says records have been seized by the d.m.s and if you go back to finding a player who doesn't exist once again d.m.s is mentioned. In the video (I'm a bit of rusty memory) I believe Alex. Was forced by d.ms. to follow a sort of guide line and keep him mining bed rock for a test run of how a player would react. Now I wouldn't be surprised if wifies made a second video with the conclusion that Derek's body has been taken into the organization. As it says in finding a player who doesn't exist they would seize bodies hook them up to a i.v tube. And if they are so set on the public not getting handle of footage. Of course they'll seize Derek's. But why not also try to seize his knowledge or memory's of such?

Alex is mining bed rock when's door opens and something wheels out in the corridor (which i presume is a i.v tube on a cart.) when someone says come here. Perhaps to feed him? Keeping him alive for the being. All while Alex is in a trance. Barely alive. Footsteps aswell, someone was in that room perhaps checking on him. Alex seemed scared hyperventilating. Perhaps watching over Alex to see if he disobeys. Stressing Alex out.

Obviously there's another video where d.m.s is mention which I'll get to soon.

If the d.m.s did that to Alex imagine how they would feel if they found out a random college guy. That knew practically every secret of the world. Even if Derek did die? They would still be able to take his body and experiment on it. This may be far catches but I think the d.m.s will use a brand scan of Derek's brain to figure out things they shouldn't be aware of.

But there's also the contradiction of Derek's brain being completely cut out because of his fusing of the king in yellow destroying his brain completely.

I'm aware my theory is all around the place.

Derek was a college guy who happened to be forced apon knowledge

Alex was some random guy forced to keep mining. Was an experiment

The first and third one has something in common. Experiments. Being an experiment.

So what if they used Derek as an experiment. Not in a live one. But rather than an experiment they didn't even have to touch.?

And has anyone ever questioned why the king in yellow was in some random Minecraft server or in Minecraft?

For some reason I have a feeling that the king in yellow wasn't real. Rather a bunch of code. Using secret that the d.m.s was aware of. They packed the king in yellow full of it. And sent it into a randomized server. Awaiting for someone to join in.

And by the end. The code had fused with Derek. Destroying his human brain. Unable to accept the secrets of life he had held in his head. He could only read the code. (The game) By the time he gave up. And fused with the king in yellow his brain and completely became code.

Theory 1

D.m.s had created a fabricated supernatural king in yellow of code. And once Derek had his first encounter with the code. Which is why it had no shape. ( I would guess) He panicked and absorbed a part of the code. Slowly he absorbed more. And more. And once he was at his limit. He pushed his human part past to save Avery. Which he thought he was doing. His brain. His memories had all become code. Code that the d.m.s would find very valuable.

Theory 2.

The d.m.s has taken Derek's body in hopes of recovering secrets from the king in yellow. Hence seizing the footage and I believe his body. To recover whatever they can from his destroyed brain

The d.m.s for some reason wants to see how beings react to different kinds of experiences. Which is obvious
