Oh! It was his arm! He must've been testing "how dead" he was. Wait, he didn't know what a heart was either...? This was a bit more difficult than Satoshi thought...

Since the ghost genuinely seemed to be nonthreatening, Satoshi eased his guard a little. He'd been tense this whole time! But this ghost really didn't seem like the others at all! He was even a little funny.

The question was a good one but... he didn't know the answer.

"I'm not really sure. I was hanging out with my friends when there was an earthquake, and we all fell in and... I woke up alone."

"What about you? Since you're a ghost, did you die here?"

Out of all the ghosts here, Satoshi hadn't met one that didn't know what ghosts do. If he hadn't been in such a desolate place, he might've laughed because of the irony.

But what was the ghost saying? 'Boo'?

"You're... you're not --?"

His instincts said to run -- this was a ghost after all, but he wasn't attacking him or anything. And... and even if he were dangerous, maybe he had information or something!

....I mean, yeah, he did scare Satoshi on purpose but...

Satoshi practically jumped out of his skin as the ghost flew through the wall! What on earth was going on?! Why did the ghost not sound like the others?! It wouldn't hurt him, right?!

It was hard to believe what's happening right now... seperated from his friends and Yuka. This dilapidated building wasn't safe for anyone, if those horrid corpses said anything about it. Nevertheless, Satoshi had to keep going, to find his sister. As he turned a corner, he noticed a faint blue light. -- Images of the blue ghost boy stuck in his mind, the one missing a tongue. Satoshi's cowardly tendencies were creeping up on him.

....But what about the flame ghost from before? The one who explained this place to him... it was rather kind.

Swallowing the lump in his throat, Satoshi whispered in a fearful voice.

No, no, he had to have some willpower!

Taking in a cautious breath, Satoshi tried to maintain a neutral expression. It took Satoshi's mind a bit to process all the information given to him. So, for a few minutes he remained completely silent. But inside his mind felt erratic - what he said here could make or break his friendship, and the last thing he wanted was for a friend to not think he was there for them. After watching such a display, Satoshi found himself on the verging of tearing up, he hated seeing his friend in such a deteriorated state.

"Morishige... I..."

"I'm sorry for yelling at you. I'm... I'm really not mad, it just... startled me. And I don't think you're pathetic at all! I don't know why you would think that..."

Although it would be a complete lie to say he was unafraid of what Morishige could do since the darkness of this school seemed to have sunk into him a bit. This behavior proved as much - unless he had somehow pretended this whole time--?
