From time to time, every month or few weeks or so, Jayden has growing pains happen. The veining burns and feels like it's trying to pull him apart, he starts growing fangs, claws, and maybe extra eyes, basically the nighlok side tries to take over and get out. Jayden does what he was taught to do and stays away from people, locking himself in his room until it goes away

It's worked in the past, but the Rangers being around and having gotten closer has made it harder and now it's worse because they can hear him trying not to scream and thrashing around because he can't get up and isn't really in control of himself

The others are about to go to his room and check on him, as he sounds like he's dying, but Ji stops them, saying it's not their place to go into their leader's bedroom and he'll be fine

They instead devise a plan to distract Ji to get to Jayden, and it somewhat works because they at least talk to Jayden, but Ji forbids any of the Rangers from going inside. Jayden lets slip that, "It hurts," but swears he's okay, which makes Ji tell the other Rangers to back off

Mike and Emily refuse, as do Mia and Antonio because Jayden clearly isn't okay. They try going in, but Jayden keeps the door shut, telling them he'll be fine

Later, they try again and do get into his room, and they see he's in the bath fully dressed and in cold water. They're confused and concerned, but he admits that the water feels better and it's cold, so he's fine. They still keep him company, Antonio and Mia making him food, Mike playing a game on his phone while Jayden watches, Kevin talking about really bad muscle spasms he'd get from swimming and training and Emily telling him stories about her and her sister and whatnot

Just everyone trying to help him where they can, and Ji not being happy about it because why is the half nighlok soldier bonding with the team of Rangers that aren't his real teammates?
