I love how in Stone Butch Blues, Theresea and Jess' relationship is built on mutual learning, growth, and admiration... I love the conversations they have that challenge the way the other thinks, and I like the moments where they both take a second to really think about what their partner is trying to tell them. Like all their conversations about the war and the emerging liberation movement... Jess is SO eager to learn from Theresea and vice versa, and you can tell they enrich each other's lives in that way.
I could not IMAGINE being with someone who I didn't admire or didn't challenge me to see things from a different perspective. I think their relationship is so romantic... AND I YEARN!!!!!!
