This is my first run since I was sick. I'm kind of weak, i jogged for 15 minutes and then walked for forty five minutes. It was mostly just nice to use my muscles again.
Ack! I ran in the rain today. I skipped my run yesterday because it was thunder storming solidly all day. And I didn't want to skip todays as well being that I didn't do much all week.
The rain was light for the most part anyways. I did a half hour and only stopped once at the top of a hill to pant for a few beats but continued on. Not nearly as pathetic as my last attempt.
Feelin pretty good, munching on some carrots.

I worked out twice this week, on Monday and Tuesday. I have no picture unfortunately. I’m hoping to jog out on the farm on Sunday, if it’s nice out. I’d like to get a tan eventually with the nice toned body!!
- k
I also ran this morning, but it was pretty pathetic, like I took a walking break every five minutes. Not so proud. Got a sunburn.

So I was doing some stretches on the do some stretches thing at the river. And I saw this girl running past me. She was tall and tan and young and lovely, a girl from Ipanema... just kidding, but she was tall and tan and toned as fuck, and wearing a black tank top and black shorts, and black runners and black sunglasses and looking badass as fuck. And not only this, but her big happy beautiful collie cross four legged friend was just romping along beside her off leash. And so like the creep I am - I took a picture. But you can't really see her (or the dog) because I kind of just stared at her for a while and then realized I wanted to show you, and then I couldn't get my ipod out of the case. So:
It was like this flash forward. Like, friends, I want her life to be my life. Like, beautiful fucking reminder of why starting this running thing was such a good idea. Life goals.
Anyways, last night I ate like an entire pizza, and then I slept in today, and I really didn't feel like going, but yesterday I really penciled it in for today ya know. So I rolled out of bed, didn't brush my teeth, didn't wash my face, didn't put on deodorant, threw on some clothes and went for it. And I noted during my run, that its good practice to just not even think about the rest of your day, because when you start your run two hours later than you meant to, and you wanted to work in the woodshop all day, but you also got invited to a bbq at 6:30, and you're wondering if you'll have time to get it all in, and you start to get winded from the run, that's when you're most likely to just stop and turn back. So I just didn't think about it. Just keep telling yourself that finishing the run is your most important... your only goal of the day. I am actually amazed that somewhere in my not running mood I managed to find some drive.
And it payed off:
Because I am back up to speed! Half hour runs again finally!!!
Pretty pleased with myself. I am really surprised that I did it. I passed like 5 other joggers today too, and a cyclist. Actually two of them passed me... which is embarrassing... because they were running behind me for I don't know how long... and I am certain the dude (who breezed past me looking like a dainty antelope and barely breaking a sweat) heard me singing along to Good Vibrations by Marky Mark. And the lady got to hear my sweet sweet voice wheezing along to Heat of the Moment by Asia... also she probably saw me hock a few loogies. I'm a real treat when I run, let me tell you.

Glad we're both finally blogging together again :)
Yes, I haven't done anything this week. I had a few things on the go, but tonight I I finally made it. I went for a 30 minute jog with Sean and then we had a long break and Adrian came over and we did a ab and arm workout and plyometrics! I felt very very good afterwards. It was literally a three hour work out by the time we finished. I should have taken a picture after the jog though. My gave gets red as a tomato when I jog with Sean....
Since this weekend I've been playing catch up because I didn't do any homework. I've been pretty tight for time and when time is free the last thing that I desire is a run. But this morning I woke up mega early to finish some astronomy homework and I did a real quick 10 min jog before I did anything.
It was going really well, I could feel it instantly in my calves but otherwise I was prepared to go for a long time, but alas, astronomy.
It's kind of nice running at 5am tho. Nobodies around.
-G
Sooo I felt pretty good about today's 20 minute run, until I saw your post and that you JOGGED FOR AN HOUR.
Jesus, anyways, I also jogged on Sunday but forgot to blog about it, but I took a picture! Here it is:
And here's my picture from today:
Oh man!! The last week and a half I’ve been very busy!! I worked out once since the last blog, but only a light jog around the neighbourhood. Last night I went for a jog with Sean and josh!! We jogged for an hour and I got soooo red!! Like so red!! At first i thought I got a horrible sunburn on o my my face, but it slowly dissipated. Anne came over, but read her book and we all hung out afterwards. Sean works out six days a week and he is getting so got so fast!! Our jog last night barely affected him!!!! Josh and I looked like sick puppies and Sean barely sweat…. It was weird!!!

Cara Maria flexin’ (literally)
Nice run today, I was diggin it.
It's easy to discourage myself so I try and stay motivated by things like: it doubles as time spent getting a tan, it's such a nice day out, you'll never have Dr. Shaw's rippling muscles with that stay-at-home attitude ;)
And anyways, here's a pretty picture of how nice out it was
-G
I went for another run this morning. Only like 10 minutes, didn't have a lot of time. Wish I had taken a picture because I looked like a goblin :)
Wasn't much of a run, but a run is a nice way to start the day if you have time. I feel like I'm in a very productive mood now.
-G
Today I went down to the river to run, still not doing full half hour runs, but still got a solid jog in. It was just so nice out today. So after my jog I stayed, I walked around the river for a bit, and then made my way up the hill, and flew my kite.
Some old ladies complimented me on my kite flying, I was like "yasss, thank youo, thank you."
I was out and about for just about a solid three hours :)
And I was thinking about it. On days that one can't fit in a full run, we should just go anyways. Like, yesterday, I went for a run but I only went for 8 minutes because I didn't want to miss Orphan Black. And 8 minutes is better than nothing. I felt good that I got up, went out and did something, even if it wasn't the something I should do. It's better than just skipping a run entirely.
-G
I don't know if you have seen Prometheus, and I tried to find a better screen cap buttttt...
I know she just like... aborted a squid baby... but Dr. Shaw is rippling with toned muscles and I want them.

Greetings Earthlings
Tonight's run was gooood. Compared to Friday and Saturday, yesterday and today have been way better. Friday and Saturday I was determined to run only because I was pissed at myself. But Tuesday and today this week I have felt that true determination again. I forgot that it's something I like about myself.
You know, we've pretty much come full circle, we started this last summer. On the one hand I'm amazed that it kept going, on the other hand I'm still pissed that it's been as off and on as it has been for me. So I guess this time around that's what I work on. Really adopting it. Every day, no exceptions (weather, exams, etc). Well not every day, but most days.
Aaah, scattered thoughts, but yeah, tonight was good. I just felt good, I felt like I was really working myself. Not back to full speed, but don't doubt that it won't take long.
-G
I started running on ... Friday? I ran Friday and Saturday. Not Sunday, I had a horribly lazy day Sunday. And I plan to run this evening. I feel like a beginner again, it's embarrassing. I plan to run as much as I can until I'm back to where I was. :(
