Another year, another inktober! I'm following the official prompt list this year. Day 1: Swift

I think it might be time to accept I’m not getting anything else productive done at work tonight...

Big ol' maple in the park.

Longsword users. Trying to get some more mid motion moments. It's easy to just draw the guard positions because fighters are always returning to them and often rest in those poses, it's trickier trying to see the middle of the attacks

Few interesting moments here. Some polearms fighters, someone actually had a buckler for once, and some pairs mid fight

Hmmm. Can't remember if these are Spadone or longsword. But I think they're longsword mostly. I should be more conscious of how long I draw swords instead of random length lines to show where it's pointing

Mostly rapier fighters here with a bit of longsword in the top right there. I've yet to try rapier myself but will give it a go someday when I have time again!

Gotta get better at drawing guards where the arms cross

Extra space on the floor today so the flails came out. In this case the training flail is a stick with hard rubber hedgehogs on rope And one woman's fencing mask is painted to look like a minion and it is terrifying.

Trying to get more of the full fight with both fighters. Twice as much to draw! Finding moments with good negative space makes it a little easier

Drawing from faster sparring speeds this time. Speed 1 is very slow. Speed two is common speed unarmored. These are a lot of speed 3 to full speed.
