Rosie’s eyes went wide when she caught sight of him. Kendall. It’d been months since their last encounter, months in which she’d had time to think about what it was that she’d do if she ran back into him. A lot of those plans included hurting him, for just like, leaving her like if she was trash. But now that he was in front of her, she had nothing to say. “No.” She finally managed to say, shaking her head. No, she didn’t want to talk to him. “No, I don’t want to talk to you.” Rosie said, as she began to gather her belongings. 

kendall couldn’t even be mad at her reaction. of course she didn’t want to talk to him. shit, he was surprised she didn’t slap him the second she saw him (the night was still young so he made a mental note to knock on wood), but he had to talk to her. he had been sick to his stomach for the way he handlded the news along with how insensitive he had been towards rosie. so he wasn’t going to stop until he fixed everything between them. despite his actions, he cared about rosie. and he would hate himself even more if he didn't attempt to make it right.“ well then at least listen to me... ” he pleaded, his hand lingered over her belongings as a way to stop her from going. “ five minutes...”

“Hey fun story. My  brother is recording right now, so his phones off and my sister- Well I don’t have an excuse for why she’s not here. It’s annoying though and I’m car-less. Do you mind if I catch a ride with you? “ 

francis eyed the girl suspiciously for a moment before he gestured with a slight nod of his head towards the car. he’d been at the arcade for couple hours so he was still getting back to reality. “are you in a rush? because I’m going to stop by to get food.”

“Maybe so, but I can and will,” she went to walk off, considering dragging a barista over the counter by her ponytail, but Kian’s arm around her shoulders kept her close. The change in her body language was instant in the way she relaxed into him, though she still rolled her eyes at his comments. “If she was prettier than me you’d be in there with her,” she scoffed, an eyebrow raised at the way he’d admitted to wanting to have a good day with her. “Oh, you’re being cute now? Okay, well, fine. I know you get jealous when I fight with other people anyway.”

kian slowly began to pull his arm away before he shot orla a look as if she was speaking gibberish, “I don’t care how pretty she is. I’m not hanging out at a coffee shop. I’ve got better things to do,” he gestured to himself a few times and scoffed. the funny thing about that scenario had to be that’s how he met orla; one day the country club was like a candy shop of unhappy men and women and then the next thing he knew he was going for orla’s shitty bartending skills. “wait, you really bought that?” he laughed a little louder than usual just to provoke her. “and for the record, I don’t get jealous. I just feel like I should be the one to fight with you first. that's not jealousy.” 

Orla had already narrowed her eyes at Kian the second he’d walked outside, knowing he was always about to say something that was going to make her want to squint at him anyway. “Yeah, because they think they can be slick when I’m not there. Which one was it, hm? I have some constructive criticism.”

“a little slickness never hurt anybody,” he rocked against her tauntingly. “aww you want to see if she’s pretty, huh?” kian cooed with a playful pout before he draped his arm over orla’s shoulder. “we should just go now...you know, save your feelings from getting hurt. believe it not I’m trying to have a good day with you.”

“Fuck me,” Ronnie scoffed as the dog ran away from her like she was the devil herself. This was why she never helped out Maddox with his job, she always ended up fucking losing one of the dogs for an hour at least. “Hey! Dude! Can you stop that dog?! Just catch him, I’ll explain later, promise.” She called out to the person that was almost in front of the dog as she ran behind it quickly.

francis couldn’t ignore the girl or the dog coming up behind him so he quickly took a step to the side to try to block off the dog from going further before he got a firm grip on his collar. “ where you going, buddy? ” he cooed playfully as he rubbed the dog’s body to calm him down. “ can’t go running off like that. ” after calming her dog down, he started walking to meet the girl halfway with her dog. 

“Okay, I’m not digging this whole Christmas thing but I do have killer golf game, maybe that’s what I was always destined to do with my life,” Gwen chuckled, as she dropped her golf club in favor of frose.

“ hey..don’t celebrate just yet. best 2 out of 3. ” francis retorted teasingly while twirling the club casually. 

“does Tessa know you had her make me bribe pastries? you barely waited to say stifler before i took a bite,” he groaned but hear kendall out despite it all. “ah so this is about jake, hm? you’re so full of it,” he told him with a laugh and took a few sips of his coffee before looking back at kendall. “you need to get out of here for a weekend? what’s going on? but i’ll save you the effort, i’ll go, but only if one of you carries my suitcases, i can’t be out on the patio taking pictures in basketball shorts, you know me better than that. plus..i suppose a boys weekend would be really great right about now. no better way to start the summer.”

 “they’re ‘you’re my best friend and I love you’ pastries.” he corrects, teasingly, the small smile on his face growing by the second. “this is definitely about jake,” he gives a firm nod with another laugh. “and maybe because rosie’s alternating between being busy with her girls or not feeling well so I figured I see my boys for a change. stop being a simp for a bit, you know.” kendall knows he can tell his friends anything. well, at least jake, percy, and oz. however, with the news rosie recently dropped on him he wants to pretend everything is perfectly fine. as if he never heard that word come out of her mouth. will he succeed? he’s not sure. “come on, one picture in basketball shorts. do it for the boys..” kendall continues, his tone teasing before he gives him a tight hug. “I mentioned I love you, right? it’ll be a good weekend! actually no promises on that but we’ll come back with memories.”
