Kids aren't the best at explaining events that have happened, so the important thing is to reassure them they're not in trouble and give them a chance to collect their thoughts ;a; (depending on context of course/if a kid is being bad I think it's very important to ask them why they did what they did and explain alternate behaviors instead)
