And I say this as someone who got dragged around the entire neighborhood TWICE to get people (who pretended that they couldn’t speak English when we knew damn well that they freaking COULD - this is a mostly Asian neighborhood, everyone talks about everyone here!!!) to sign 2 petitions.

Only one of them succeeded & the only reason it did was because the college we were petitioning against could actually get sued if they hadn’t done what the petition asked for.

The second one got nowhere even though it was just asking for some more speedbumps so that the shitty college students wouldn’t kill any neighborhood kids with their horrible driving.

“Free s8″ does not do any financial harm or has the ability to threaten a lawsuit against Netflix or Dreamworks. So it won’t work.

You already paid for your netflix subscriptions or pre-bought all the Hot Topic merch. Dreamworks got what it wanted & milked you for your money before dropping the hastily slapped together s8 on you.

You REALLY think they’re going to care or listen? They already got the positive publicity for s8. And that’s ultimately going to overshadow all the “it’s just a shitty PR move! it’s OOC!! it’s bad writing!” complaints.

I’m not going to reiterate the garbage that was season 7, nor bother explaining why Shiro–who was originally set to die–being the LGBTQ+ rep is walking the line in the first place (if he was originally set to die, that means they weren’t going to bother with LGBTQ+ rep in the first place, in case anyone forgot that glaringly important detail), NOR go on to explain why shoehorning him into a relationship at the end with some stranger is just a way of pacifying the garbage they delivered last season.

Let’s skip the flowery intros and get to the point, because this is important.

Lotor’s vindication and reunion with Allura were originally part of VLD s8 and I can prove it. Most animation relating to this plot was excised, while other clips were re-purposed to make it look like he was dead all along: but some are still in there.

The removal of this plot line was one of the major factors in completely messing up season 8, and it was a change that was made very recently; no earlier than August in fact. There is a significant, non-zero chance that an unedited version of Season 8 exists in its entirety; completely finished.

Greg: You did mention a continuing relationship with Dreamworks: is there anything that could be hinted at about possible additional media outlets for Voltron through Dreamworks? Is there any chance for a future Voltron production of any kind?

Let me put it this way: normally, if you do well, the company will find another project for you. They might even make a project for you, especially if you did really well. That’s independent of whether or not your current project scored a sequel, since even some great shows just don’t go there.

- don’t knee jerk delete. I know it’s tempting to peace out immediately but hang on and do the other steps first. Out right ghosting and erasing everything is how fandoms die.

- archive everything on your blog you want to keep

- tell your followers how they can archive and keep your work too. A lot of fic and art were only saved from ff.net and lj because other people saved it first. If you’re cool with other people saving your work for them to personally keep, let them know this. You can absolutely discourage reposting but I really do highly recommend you allow people to personally save fic and art they like and are worried will disappear forever. Digital Dark Ages are a real thing.

- tell people where you’re jumping ship to. Give links. Keep that info up, even if you’ve left the site.

- go through who you follow and find out where else you can follow them. Save their work if they’ll allow it. It’s tedious as hell but if you want to keep up with people on here clicking on their page to check in is the best way to do it.
