ngl the way some people talk about women in sport is so frustrating. they try to feminism so hard that they loop right back to being sexist again. what do you meant there are no women playing in the football world cup? because it's the men's world cup, the women's world cup is next year. now there's absolutely an argument to be made about the scale, scope, and enthusiasm for the women's world cup compared to the men's world cup from fans, organisers, sponsors, and broadcasters but acting like women don't play football at an incredibly high level all across the world is not a feminist take. why are there no women in motorsport? there are lots of women in motorsport. f1, and single seater racing in general, is incredibly lacking in this field and so much more needs to be done to give women opportunities, but women have been successful racers for decades in many other forms of motorsport. there are female rally drivers and co-drivers, on both a national and international level. women are competing and earning podiums alongside men in international rallycross and endurance racing. a woman won the dakar rally back in 2002, and in the last five years alone five or six women have won stages and even entire categories in dakar. some of the best rally raid drivers in the world are women. they are still severely outnumbered by men and they deserve more attention and opportunity, but they're there. and they've been there for a long time
