Keanu Reeves gets deep and tries to brush it off with laughter during an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, originally broadcast in syndication on December 21st, 2021.

Keanu Reeves at age 21 during an interview/audition for a guest role on an episode of the NBC detective drama Miami Vice in 1985 (he was passed over for the part). Keanu read a brief scene from Edward Albee's 1958 one-act play The Zoo Story during his audition. The movie he mentioned playing a French Canadian in was the Rob Lowe hockey film Youngblood (though Keanu's role was reduced in size due to budget and time constraints, he still had a small part in the finished production). The "kid's show" he mentioned was the half-hour CBC series Hangin' In which ran in Canada and in syndication in the U.S. and saw Reeves trying horseback riding and roller skating, among other popular teen pursuits of the early-1980s. The two television movies he referred to were the ABC/Magical World of Disney movie Young Again and the drama Under the Influence for CBS, both of which aired the following year. Keanu's career took off shortly after this audition tape for Miami Vice was recorded and his fame propelled to the stratosphere after Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure was released in 1989. He now has over 120 film, stage, and television credits to his name and he's become one of the most beloved actors in Hollywood due to his down to earth, good-hearted nature.

Keanu Reeves dances to The Isley Brothers 1959 classic Shout! and skateboards through his native Toronto, Canada's Eaton Center out onto the city's streets in The Magical World of Disney television movie Young Again, originally broadcast by ABC on May 11th, 1986.
