I'm Gela, also known as acoraxia, formerly known as wolfloupen, and I've been struggling with domestic abuse for nearly all my life. It's gotten to the point where I find my dad sleeping in my bed when I'm in bed, my mom gaslighting me into giving her money and never getting it paid back and playing housewife for my dad whenever my mom becomes emotionally unavailable.

My mother has admitted to being abusive for the sake of it and my dad doesn't do anything to defend me from her, sometimes even joining her or making the situation worse. They weren't there to protect me when I was sexually assaulted and even tried to make me empathize with them when my abuser died. My extended family is always on their side and I've been called spoiled and selfish all my life for wanting some privacy and respect out of them.

My parents have been preventing me from maintaining a job. I get some money left over from financial aid but I've been putting that aside to help me save up to move.

Rocky spends a lot of his time around Grace and Simon, so he notices that Simon seems to sleep more than Grace on average. He knows more than the average eridian about human and human behavior, but he isn’t sure about that part…

He starts keeping track of Simon more frequently while he’s over spending time with Grace.

If he hears Simon drift off, he speaks quieter.

He does bring it up to Grace. “Oh, yeah, I know. Some humans are just like that. Dw, he’s not in danger. I keep an eye out for him.”

Rocky talks to Adrian about this because people falling asleep so suddenly outside of when they need to makes him UNBELIEVABLY anxious. His former crew all died just falling asleep one day. What if Simon just doesn’t wake up????

Adrian takes this information and researches. They decide to do a sleep study on Simon. Without his consent or knowledge.

What? Grace is usually fine with that.

Adrian sticks around for an entire day and just, sooooo subtly, keeps track of Simon’s sleepiness.

They take note of how often Simon dozes off, how often he naps, how he’ll talk to himself, hum to himself, fiddle with things, exercise, anything to wake up.

Simon has woken up from many naps to Adrian sitting right there in front of him. Terrifying to him that he didn’t hear them at all.

That fucks up the study a bit cause now Simon is on edge and very awake. He’s very aware of the two rocks following him around now. They aren’t being subtle anymore.

“The fuck you want with me!??”

“Simon sleep too much!! Unpredictable!!! Must follow to make sure it is watched and safe.”

Grace the thinks it’s very funny and Simon is pissed about it. So fucking pissed that he’s being studied like that.

Yet he still falls asleep and wakes up to Rocky, Adrian, and Grace watching over him. Guess this is his life now.

Everyone watches over him now. Freaks him out at first, but then it becomes a bit of a comfort.

The most fun is when he falls asleep during one of Grace’s classes and wakes up to Grace trying to convince a bunch of little pebbles to go home, they don’t need to watch Mr. Simon sleep all the time.

This leads to the fact that when Grace, with the help of Rocky to chaperone, finally takes a school trip inside the dome, the curious pebbles approach Simon, because he doesn't visit the classroom a lot and he stays for such a short time that he is a mystery for the pebbles. Simon, not quite knowing how to entertain them, simply starts juggling with them.

In my mind he is doing the juggling single armed, because he would always be an amputee in my eyes, but those are details.

The pebbles are having the time of their lifes; Simon is happy of making the pebbles giggling while he can exercise his reflects; Rocky is horrofied, but he also kinda of wants to know how it feels to be a juggling ball; Grace is having a heart attack.

Grace: Simon! Leave those pebbles in the ground in this instant!

Simon surprised by Grace's authoritarian and angry voice leaves the pebbles in the ground, where Rocky make sure to check than they aren't hurt.

Grace, crossing his arms and looking at Simon: You are in time out.

Simon, who had never been treated like a child before: Time out?

Grace, getting red of anger: Yes! Time out!

And Simon who is not sure why he is obeying Grace orders, but sure that he has to, ends having to stand looking to one of the big rocks in the beach while he reflect in his actions and why they were wrong.

The pebbles, who have already know the suffering of been in time out, give Simon small pats in his feet and legs as a consolation, and promise him that they can still play after his punishement is finish, that they will wait for him, to which Simon nods determinate.

LIKE! The only time Simon, whilst he’s recovering, sees Rocky is before he falls asleep and when he wakes up, the translator doesn’t work for some reason so all Simon hears is the chirping Rocky makes. Then Rocky leaves and Grace comes into the room. He tries to subtly hint at Grace “hey you know you don’t need to keep your human form around me” but Grace never catches on. Where’s Rocky during this? Probably either sleeping himself or making a new sculpture of Simon to add to the “puppet show” or he’s keeping an eye on the experiments Grace is doing.

Rocky: of course fixes work! Rocky very smart, and very excited to talk to Adrian again!

Grace: I'll let you guys have a moment and to explain the situation while I check on the Talmoeba.

Rocky: ♫ Rocky also have BIG surprise for mate! it is why Rocky is calling from a different ship. Rocky found way to save star! But Rocky had help saving stars. Rocky met an alien! First alien! Amaze Amaze Amaze! He calls himself Grace, he is a Human from the Sol system. ♫

Adrian: ...

Rocky: ♫ Friend Grace gave up going home to save Rocky. to save Erid. But human biology weird. Gross. will not survive on Erid unless home is made. It is why Rocky call first and not land. It will take time to build, Rocky and Friend Grace know, but Grace is savior of Erid! And first alien contact! Amaze! ♫

Adrian: ... ♫ sooooo about that first alien contact thing. ♫

Rocky: ...

Adrian: ...

Rocky: ♫ Mate also found human question? ♫

Adrian: ♫ Adrian also find human, yes statement. About 6 years ago now. ♫

Rocky: ♫ hmmmm FINE! Mate Adrian can have first contact title. Rocky still gets Star Savior title anyways. ♫
