I cant talk about this book enough. Again another book that recently came out so not to many spoilers.......but if you love Robin hood you're gonna love this book. If you are a mixed girl, you will love this book(iykyk). If you love romance and deep lore, you will love this book. And if you love nonbianry reps, witty, gay side characters, and big ol Teddy bears who dont talk with hearts of steel.....then you'll will love this book. This book follows Marian, and how she goes on an identity journey, a stregnth journey, and more than anything a self love journey. So far this year, I haven't resonated with a book on this level, but I was balling by the last 5 chapters, and then i was balling harder. I, as always, tried to tandem read this but had to turn the audiobook off because.....i just had to get into it on my own. I did relisten to it as India Amarteifio is the narrator, and shes incredible, but this deserved its own read and thats why it took me so long to put this out. Erynne Rivers is new to my radar and had forbidden wing not taken me in like an unhoused puppy, I may not have picked this up for a while. Thank the Goddess for them.....because she is an incredible writer. The way she writes, is captivating. It draws you in and you cannot leave, like a fox who made her way into a warm house, not like a prisoner...its like you want to stay......like you choose to stay. So overall: a 10/10.

I.....feel like im gonna get hate for this but I have been giving alot more "traditional" or not fantasy romance a try and Ive actually enjoyed alot of authors........ i felt this one....dropped the ball? Ok ok, let's start from the begining. I found out this was gonna be my PS monthly sub box for june,(i literally dropped it right after July, as I dont think our values align) cool.....i got the audiobook, cool. The audiobook actors were fine, everyone loves Teddy Hamilton, Julia Goldani telles and Emma wilder were also great, no problems. I loved that it took place on a ranch and I love that it was a dating show. The spice was actually fine. And the support characters were hilarious. I didnt....feel it though? I was so excited to read this and then i was done(i did finish it, as i rarely dnf books). Like Im so easy to please in books, so i was left feeling....not empty, but also not whole and maybe thats the part that gets me.........Because shes Elsie Silver, everyone loved it and because this was my first Elsie Silver book, I'll probably not reach for any others. The story was fine, but theres something about someone saying this is the best book, and reading on line its a 8/10 or a 4/5 and then reading it and its mid is literally so disheartening. Its very similar to Harry Potter to me, where I was never allowed to read it, read it as an adult and thought it was mid at best...very disappointing and disheartening(especially because shes such an awful person and people still hard support a mid story from an awful person). It just makes it hard for me to want to read more from her(elsie not jk)and actually reach for them in my local indie store for no other reason than......I only have so much time in this world, and my TBR is pretty lengthy. I don't generally talk about books I dont like but I did feel the need to talk about this one.....because Ranting to my therapist and friends, wasn't cutting it. Again, everything individually wasnt awful, but together.......im probably giving this book away lets just say that. 2.5/10(5/10 for the audiobook vas) *also I did enjoy how they got out of the contract because that part did wrap itself up nicely. I was so confused on how she was gonna do that and was like oh ok, well that worked*

This one was new for me. I got it in my forbidden wings box and I was like....I love Welsh things....Right? Upon that realization, came to the conclusion.....i dont actually partake in many Welsh things, so that excited me even more. The unknown is scary but also intriging........But i do love dragons and the girl looked like a bard so I was sold. The book came, it was gorgeous and there was an audiobook so I got it, and I got strapped in for the ride......and i was not disappointed. I was in tears in the end. It had everything, beautiful story, a great Fmc/Mmc, Dragons, twists that i didnt expect and a cliffhanger that had me balling more over that, and yelling no. She has a poetic way of writing that was perfect, like I was enthralled. It was also fantastically paced, I wasnt bored at any point, which sometimes with stories like this is unavoidable, like we are on a journey and sometimes our journeys have to get boring but because of what we were doing and going through there wasnt a chance to get bored while also not over packing us. I beleive Catrin felt this like a song when she wrote is and I cant wait for this composer of an author to drop another one✨️ overall, 7/10

I adored this book. I had just finished a series that was really intense and needed something lighter to read right after, and i think i found a gem. I was sick, emotional, and this book made me so happy. Its such a bubbly book, all i can do was smile. I will not include many spoilers as it just came out on July 7th, but i will give you these little morsels. I enjoyed the main characters alot and their relationship, trying to navigate their differences and understand each other. I enjoyed the amount of spice, since it is a big part of the plot but it didnt feel messy. I enjoyed the FMC, and the MMC singularly and their own personal growth. The audiobook was a fun listen, i tandem read as per us. And ultimately what sold me on this was not just them. The secondary and minor characters have such....personality, and it nice to enjoy their lives too. I feel sometimes the secondary and minor characters, are forgotten a bit so its nice even when they arent on the page, to get thought about st least. They are so cute, and i love their banter, as well as the main characters. I heard there was going to be a second book and im excited if there is, but i love how this currently can be read as a stand alone and im satisfied with that🩷💙💜 so we'll give it a 8/10💜

Now I feel great, but you know what means.....I trekked through so many books I felt like my name was Kathryn Janeway. So now lets talk about about them. This was not the first book I started with but, it just came out so here we are. The Exquisite Torment of Loving Your Enemy IS the most hilarious book ive read all year. If you thought the banter in the first book was good, well strap in because i was laughing more than I was crying, and I cried exactly 3 times. The way they mesh and dont at the same time will always have me astounded, but the way they were in here..... yep astounded. This is just my opinion, but all duologies need to be wrapped up this nicely. The pacing was great, the story wrapped up so well, i was so satisfied with the ending, i even smoked a cigarette. That hasnt happened for a hot minute. I wont put too many spoilers as it just came out, but truthfully id pick this up if i were you. Brigitte Knightley, well done because ive never cried over a cricket before, 6/10.

So idky people hated this book, but i found it because I was scrolling and saw someone say the book was terrible. I disagree. Its more of a complex read with alot of strings. I throughly enjoyed sailing through the vast world Brandi Otto has weaved for us. There was ample amount of twist, that I kept asking.....how is this about to end? And when if did, I deff didnt expect it. Its a duology, so I expected the cliffhanger, and all the people who were supposed to make me feel icky(like everyone) did. It was slower in some parts but I really took those parts in and glad I did, because they came back at me in the end and my flabbers were 100% gasted. The trials were honestly just enough and I was glad we didn't linger longer than necessary. I love Aella, I love a princess tale.....but I love a not princess tale better. Being a spy, and an exiled princess gave her more depth than I thought it would and I was completly sat for it. The spicy scenes are also extremely well written, even if I dont personally feel like they fit. Speaking of, that was my biggest complaint. I felt they either could have been left out or just placed differently and it would have been better but over all: plot 5/10, spice 4/10. October honestly cant get here fast enough.

Are you into sapphic vampire dark academia inspred by Sheridan Le Fanu's Carmilla? Well look no further. This book had me in a chokehold when I first listened to it. S.T. Gibson's has a way of gripping me till the very end and leaving me wanting more everytime. The poetic way S.T. writes will always body slam me into the next dimension, and this one was just as deliciously satisfying as A Dowry of Blood. Overall, a 7/10 and im so excited for my next few days off to tandem read this baby

Sooooooo why was this the funniest book ive read in a hot minute? It was hilarious. As a long term fanfic reader, this was obvi on my radar. I had heard it was a slow burn romance based on a draco/hermione fanfic.....and it was VERY British and hard to get through. The girl who told me that lied about 1 of those things. It was NOT a hard read....it was VERY British(for you americans), and it was an intensely slow burn romance, which both of those things im here for. It truly is an enemies to lovers, seeing as its only 21 chapters, and the first realization of love happens somewhere around chapter 17. There is subtle hints about it earlier on but it is solidified in 17-20, and majority of that time we are enemies, which i again, im here for.......now onto the world: I throughly enjoyed the world around us and the side characters. If you thought our main characters were funny, the side chacters are even funnier. I was laughing hysterically at the side banter and the descriptions of certain characters, that part was a 10/10.......my biggest eh: it ended super abruptly just as we were putting 2 and 2 together, we are kind feeling each other, and we really arent healed(just slowed down the sickness in Osric) so over all there wasnt a wrap up of any kind, which im generally used to getting at least 1 or 2 things being wrapped up at least, but thats ok. Brigitte is very obviously different and we love her for that. Overall, the book was has very good characters, was very funny, and very british....and i give it a 5/10......

Ive always adored Elise Kova. Her writing styles have been some of my favorite......but this one *chefs kiss* The MC was so hard and soft at the same time and its delicious. I loved how i hated him for so long.....and now.....ughhhhhh, i need more of him. The romance is necessary and not too much. The scenes are explicit but so satisfying and I enjoy a real enemies to lovers and I was definitely satsfied. Its the perfect amount of sauce on this spaghetti 🍝 like pasta is one of my favorite foods, and this book felt like pasta. I, as always, tandem read this one and the VAs voice.....ugh, is so soft yet authoritive at parts, she really did it for me....im just saying. And dont even get me started on Clara. She has been one of my fav FMCs. The descriptions of her are so beautiful. Her outfits are amazingly described and thats not something I talk about often because I dont think its done to this extent often. The way her character development, so similar to the romance grows like a flower, soft and steady paced. I love the magic system, not gonna lie, it makes me think of anime or magic the gathering and as a nerd I dig it. The twists....ugh I was got more than once. Now im just sitting waiting for the sequel: prince of swords. I hope i can snag a pretty copy. 1/10 for making me wait.....6/10 overall

I cant say enough about this book. Like I was in the market for something...different(not fae, or dragons) and this popped up on my radar and honestly so grateful. Its characters are so witty that its was listening to 2 friends and saying kiss already so much and when it happens its actually satisfying. Its like watching this guy and saying bro why are you like this.....and when he finally gets it your like...fucking finally. The world and the lore shes built is also so fascinating, I enjoy the different types of merpeople, and different type of lineages people are from, so I do hope we get into that in the next book. Its like.....all the good things of a pallette cleanser book I needed. Ive read it 2x now, so I feel like I have the authority to say its a solid 6/10(literally because its a duology and is messy because its the first in a series). Jordan stephanie gray has become one of my favorite authors(bitten was also stellar). *Im gonna start posting these so I dont have to keep repeating things to my friends, if you guys also enjoy reading them.....feel free to do so.*
