aka the haunted house where I got sawed in half by a scare actor. 🩷 [Spoilers kinda] For the first half I thought this is kinda boring, because the jump scares were so delayed that I was past them before they even activated. But then it got reeeeeaaal claustrophobic really quick. 😨 If the 'victims of cruel experiments' trope triggers you, don't go on this. It's not a lol monsters and critters ride and it's not a kids ride at all. AND THEN THE SCARE ACTOR(S)----!!!

BUT!

I LOVE that it's barbie pink! 10/10 would scream again!

Petersburger Schlittenfahrt // Burgdorf & Söhne Mack Rides, Matterhorn sleigh ride (1976) Spring fair, Stuttgart, 2026

More from my admittedly disappointing visit to the spring fair! Went on the Schlittenfahrt for nostalgic reasons (my dad used to ride this with me when I was a kid) and it was honestly. SO. LAME. 😅 And I had such high hopes! There are rumours in thoosie circles that you can make the sleigh swing out almost horizontal if you forcibly move from side to side while it's in operation. But when me and some other riders tried this, we got yelled at by the operator. 😅 Can't do anything around here! The ride looks pretty though!

Rock & Roller Coaster // Vorlop Schwarzkopf Wildcat model (1969) Spring fair, Stuttgart, 2026

This cost me 6€ and it was not worth it (discounted price on family day even). The fair was pretty much dead that evening, so one of the operators had to ride with me to balance the car. He was clearly having more fun with it than I had, hooting and hollering in the backseat. 🫠 Co-worker of mine went on it a couple days earlier and showed me a picture of her & friends on the ride, everyone screaming their heads off, and I was like, should I roast her for screaming like that on a rollercoaster like this??? 👀 Nah, the boss won't like it if I bully other people at work. 😅

Der Polyp // Dreßen Schwarzkopf Monster 3 model (1983) Spring fair, Stuttgart, 2026

The GOAT (right with Breakdancer of course) and a must ride at every visit. It has a decent thrill for the people, who don't want to or can't go on the cray-cray rides. Last year I learned involuntarily that it can be stopped mid-ride cycle (bc of course it can) and that ride operators hate to do this. Someone took their whee child onto the ride and it freaked out and had to get off immediately. Please watch the ride before you take your kid on it, because this *gestures* is NOT for your toddler, even if the kraken looks cute and your kid fits the height requirement!

Music-Shop // Weeber & Sohn Mack Rides Berg- & Talbahn (1977) Spring fair, Stuttgart, 2026

This was one of the first "grown-up" fair rides my dad took me on (I was like 8 or so) and I remember that it was 'the rage' back then. Everyone flocked to the music shop/music express rides and it used to be so much fun! When I went on it last week it was kinda... yeah. :/ The operater was like "Scream if you want to go faster!11!!11!" and all five of us riders (lol) would scream and the ride sped up NOT AT ALL! 🫠 At least it wasn't expensive and it gave me some wholesome childhood nostalgia. (:
