A butcher’s shop by day and a pub by night - this brilliant new idea to keep our High Street’s alive and interesting. Andy Cook is the veteran, charismatic butcher. Tasty and affordable bar snacks available throughout the day and Specials by night. Game soup. My Dad @rayhoth used to make this wonderful broth for my sister & I after we had our dreaded swimming lessons in the freezing & terrifying Wroxall Abbey girls school. Such a silky & comforting broth - with the added excitement of shot and Port ! The sound of the shotguns blasting in the neighbourhood wood punctuated my childhood, winter soundtrack. *This* is one of my favourite things about Winter and food. (at Budbrooke)
